Amazon EssentialsMen's Classic-Fit 7" Chino Short

I am happy with these shorts. I actually rodered 5 of them in different styles to try and see for best fit. All of the styles except one fit well. But they did ship meone wrong size pai. It was in a package labelled one isze (the one I ordered) but inside the package was a smaller size. There's no obvious way to report that, so since it was a Try Before You Bjy I simply returned the (incorrect) and exchanged it for the same size (and hopefully I will get the right size this time. That seems to be a slight flaw in amazon's system here. There's no easy or obvious way to report that a clothing item inside a package was different from the size actually shown on the packing.

I usually get Lands End and LL Bean shorts, which are very good quality, when I can find them with a 6- or 7-inch inseam, like these. I find 10-inch inseam length uncomfortable, especially if I run in them, and personally, I think long shorts look dorky. To each his own. I would say the Lands End shorts have a bit better finish, and they have stain resistance, which I doubt these shorts have, but for every day look-neat shorts these are a price bargain. And I expect they will work well as walking and exercise shorts when they get older and worn. Also, Amazon offers them in a lot more color choices than Lands End. These are not stretch shorts, which I don't need.

I purchased to replace a tired pair of cargo shorts my husband had. I wanted to see him wear something more fitted for he has muscular legs and anything without cargo pockets. He loves them. He raves on how soft but sturdy the material is. Normally a size 38 US, he had to size up one to 40 US. Very, Very happy.

These shorts are nicely made and look good. The pockets are deep enough for my iPhone and wallet.But the waist is smaller than advertised. And the inseam is 6.5 inches, not 7 inches. On me, that’s makes them a bit shorter than I like.

Size up. I ordered a 36... didn't even come close. I was and am a legit 38" I'm I'm honest. Got it today... pretty snug but fit kinda.... ok. I've gotten a little to used to waist band having a bit of stretch... these have next to none... so SIZE UP. Other than that, great looking shorts.. I got mine for working in hot/outside 8hrs a day. I am short so a 7” inseam is needed when I purchase shorts, or else I have to pay for alterations. This is the third pair of shorts I have purchased because I am pleased with the fit, the look, and the workmanship. They are a good value and compare very well to higher priced shorts

I have owned five or six pairs of these shorts over the past few years because I like their size, fit, and fabric. In previous years, my only complaint was that the button wasn't sewn on well and would come off after just a few months. I may be mistaken, but it seems the manufacturer has fixed this problem. I have owned two newer pairs for about six months how and the buttons are still holding tight. I wear shorts nearly year 'round, and these are now my go-to shorts.

With an inseam measuring slightly less than 7", these shorts fit me much better than most other shorts, which tend to have lengthier inseams. I just wish that more solid color choices were available.

These shorts have a very wide leg. I also ordered Amazon Essentials Men's Slim-Fit 7" Short. These have what I consider to be more of a standard leg width.

These are the third pair of Amazon Essentials I've bought and I'm sure it won't be my last pair I buy.Very happy with them.
