Great value home security system
Love our Skylink alarm system! I did a lot of research because I wanted a system that had door sensors, cameras, an app, and no monthly fees.We use 4 door sensors and 3 cameras. I also liked that the door sensors were just $20; some other systems charge $30+. I'm about to purchase 2 more door sensors. The app works great and sends us push notifications when the sensors are triggered. The log of when the sensors were triggered is handy too.I would probably rate this 5 for the value and features. However, it does have some annoyances. Sometimes the app sometimes crashes or a device will stop working and has to be removed/re-added. Sometimes the camera real-time view can be laggy by 1 - 5 seconds. Overall, it works great and I would recommend it.I recommended this system to a friend and his family loves it too. UPDATE: They stopped using the system. One night there was a weird voice/sound from their camera's speaker. It freak them out and they unplugged it. I think they might have poor wireless security (WEP or weak password) and gotten hacked, or it was just some electrical feedback/noise. Either way, they didn't want to chance it. They love horror movies, but it may have biased them against the one-time creepy sound! LOL

Pleasantly surprised.
I have tried all sorts of self-monitored, do-it-yourself, home security systems. The Skylink system works the best, though I had mixed results with it at first. I have ordered multiple sensors and consoles from Skylink, and only half have worked. I have had to send several products back, but those that I have kept work well. Customer service is a zero. I have never received a response to an email from them.Currently, I use the internet hub, one motion sensor, four remote keys, the garage door opener, and a flood sensor. The system works well and the sensor has never missed an alarm or sent a false alarm (after one month of use). I test it periodically to make sure it is still working.I also like the Skylink app, as I can use it to check the status of the system from anywhere. However, I can see how it would be annoying if that was your only method for arming/disarming the system, because it takes several "clicks" to get where you need to in the app. For the reason, the remote keys are essential.Overall, this is an affordable solution to home security. However, you may need to return several malfunctioning components.

Ok but many limitations
I found it easy to install and the app works nicely. The motion sensors are not pet immune. You are limited to using their hardware addons, however IFTTT functionality help a little. Their cameras have excellent video quality, but can't be recommended due to their limitations. The camers provide only a continous video stream and the video from it can only be recorded when you push the skylink app record button on your phone. It has no ability to save to a sd card or to a local computer, capture snap shots or initiate notifications by itself. So by the time you might receive a notification from your external motion sensor of a detection and you open the camera app, it is to late to capture much that you can record. You have no ability to rewind the video to see what you may have missed. Their screw in light dimmers are huge at least as large as a softball and don't fit any any of my table lamps that have lamp shades. Looking at switching to SmartThing.

Great DIY Security System
This is the second Skylink system. I bought the SK-200 for my house and now installed the similar SK-150 for my apartment. They are easy to set up and install. I've been monitoring my house for months now & the system works well. I can opt to get notifications on my iPhone & Apple watch. I called tech support because I thought my motion sensor wasn't working well. The tech representative was very nice & helpful. The motion sensor goes on the ceiling & not on the wall as I had placed it. Now it works well. I no longer pay a fortune for having my security system monitored.

A good investment to track Great Grandma with.
Everything works as described; door senors real simple setup, motion sensor- also- wish the sensitivity could be adjusted, camera's- clear but no zoom, and all function as intended with setup and hub. Only complaint is about the password. You are asked to put it in but there's no defined diection as to what it is. We figured it out- random numbers on the router.

Great little system
Have this system for my home. Full setup took 39 minutes for garage door, 5 doors/windows and a lamp. Incredibly simple. Let’s me know via my iPhone when any are opened. Went on a week vacation and didn’t have to worry someone was at the house. Bought a set for my son’s apartment too. Use removable “command” type tape for sensors and the whole system can move with you from place to place.

Great home alarm system
The motion-detection works great. Sensitive but no false alarms. App has all the needed features for customization of the system so it works exactly as desired.

This is an excellent home security starter kit
This is an excellent home security starter kit. We have used it and tested it over the past 2 weeks. It works but....you need to know how all the pieces work and you are responsible for your setup and home security. This kit removes the "middle" man from the home security model. You set it up, you programs and place the pieces and you make sure it sends you notifications via Internet to cell phone. Make sure you have a UPS on your Internet/cable modem, router and Skylink hub. We are happy and it works.

The App for Android needs work.
Works perfectly with the wife's I-Phone but,The push notification on my Android very rarely works for any length of time, no matter what I've tried, it's really disappointing.
