OttLite Wireless Charging LED Makeup Mirror - Illuminated Magnifying Light with USB Port

I did return this item because the mirror rocked.. although long period for refund I did receive excellent customer service from Ottlite and did purchase a different Ottlite item from Joanne’s instead and very happy with my purchase.

I have 2 Ott lights. One on my desk and the other by my sewing machine. Both are excellent. Something is not right about this make up mirror Ott light. I had a Simple Human make up mirror auto on and off. Loved it. Unfortunately I dropped it and ir cracked. So I decided to replace it with this Ott. Big mistake. I just can’t put my finger what’s wrong with the Ott. It’s not as clear and I have to so close to the mirror to actually see your face close up. Spend a little more and get the Simple Human 5X magnification with auto on off. It’s worth it. I’m returning this

The LED wireless charging mirror is all in all pretty straightforward. It has a dual sided mirror one side is normal view and the other is 5x magnification. The normal side is great for your everyday makeup application and the 5xs is great for being able to see closely for fine details without being so hyper focused that you can't move around the mirror. There are 3 light levels low, medium, and high. The high is bright enough to use as a ring light if you do beauty tutorials. On to the wireless charging, eh! While it does work and is no means a quick charging dock it will keep your phone from using further battery during a video chat while you get ready. You can't use it to record a tutorial or show someone on video chat how to create a look because the mirror is in the way of the camera itself. Both IQ and mirror rotate and tilt but from a bottom vantage point where your camera sits it is unflattering and you're unable to get the camera situated or mirror tilted in such away to show both sides of your face. However, from a normal everyday use application of catching up on calls or video chatting your mom before you head out to work it works perfectly fine. The mirror base doesn't feel as sturdy as I'd like for the price tag of the item and will wobble I think partly due to the mirror left and right turns from the base rather than another point on the metal rod. I like it but would prefer to see it listed at a cheaper price.

I know it's a tad expensive for such a product, but the hours it has given me back so far is soooooo worth it. Many ladies love to talk, and my lady is no different, especially when she's doing her makeup, which usually takes 30 minutes if I'm lucky, to about an hour. This is just the nature of the beauty, and all men must accept it. It wouldn't be so bad if I was totally free, but sometimes she inadvertently chooses the most inopportune of times to start the speech engine, such as when I'm playing my video games, or worse, when I'm watching my beloved football team. Most times, I can get away with my auto-mouth mode with the "uh-huhs" and "yes dear's", but sometimes she'll throw a wrench in it and ask me a question and it malfunctions and she gets upset that I'm not paying attention to her.Long story short, now with this present, she can completely ignore me while she's doing her make-up. Here are the two best outcomes it has provided me:1) She watches some make-up videos or tutorials while she's doing it, which is the best as she's totally focused on it.2) She's watching any other videos or music, which gives her something to forget me for the duration of her transformation.The contraption itself is pretty neat, with the phone holder portion can pretty much hold any smartphone. You can move it every which way to accommodate the angle to your liking. The mirror itself is big and clear, and even lights up around the edges. On one side is a 1:1 magnification, while the other side is 5x magnification for those in-depth pimple pushing sessions.I know this review is from a guy's point of view, but if any guy will ever read it, STOP searching, you've come to the right place. Order it and your quality of life, and maybe even your lifespan, will improve vastly. You're welcome!

Don't waste your money on the cheap mirrors. This one is a few bucks more but it's worth it. I use OttLite lamps throughout my home, especially in the sewing/ craft room. The light quality is considered some of the best i nthe industry, and when working with color, this is so important.This baby sits on your vanity on a white and grey base, with a chrome shaft for the mirror and a charger for your mobile device. Yes, I've been one of those people who follows along with a makeup tutorial and yelled at my phone when it kept falling down when I was *right* in the middle of a tricky step. I've even set a palette on the phone holder. It's brilliant placement and I love it. My phone didn't charge as fast on this wireless charger as it did on my standalone charger, so I plugged it into the back of the mirror.If you didn't want to buy it for you, it'd make a great present for the beauty enthusiast in your life.

Is there any more perfect makeup mirror for a teen/twenty something? Probably not. My 19 year old daughter, while doing her makeup in the morning before classes (college), is usually talking to one of her friends on facetime. When I saw this mirror, I realized it was made for her. It props her phone up and even charges it, while also lighting up and providing a close up for eye makeup and a secondary bathroom mirror for checking the back of the hair and such. And then for course it's perfect for the times when the girls are watching beauty videos online and trying to replicate the same makeup in the mirror. It works well and is such a handy all-in-one design. Great idea!

when i received my mirror from ottlite, the first thing i noticed when taking off the protective stickers from the mirrors was these smudges that would not come off on the magnification side (yes i took off the clear sticker too). as well, there were some marks that i believe are on the inside of the ring light portion, as if they did not spray everything even (or however they make that coating). i will say that the light itself worked perfectly great - simply tap up to 3 times for brighter and brighter light. the wireless charger works great too, and you can plug a charger in if you prefer. i love watching youtube while i do my makeup and i think this is a great idea!now, i did message ottlite’s customer service to inquire about the scratches and huge smudges as i thought it was a one off quality issue. they immediately apologized and sent out another one to me from their warehouse free of charge. when this replacement arrived, those smudges came off with simple wiping, however i encountered a new issue! the mirror would only face up no matter what i did. reaching out again, i asked if they had a suggestion on how to fix this. they could not figure it out so sent out one more replacement.the next replacement has arrived and again there are some “scratches” or tiny spots on the magnification side of the ring light, and small smudging, but it’s honestly still very usable so i decided to keep this one. i’m sure if i wanted to though, i could reach out and ask for a different one again.in conclusion, i do love the concept of this mirror, the flip side and the charging features. i do think it was worth my money even if it took some time. because of the possible defective aesthetic or issues that seem to come up often, i give it 4 stars. but their customer service is 5 stars!!!! gina made sure to follow up with me and until i was happy, and was very apologetic each time i received anything defective, even tho it wasn’t her fault. so if you’re on the fence i say just go for it, worse case scenario you exchange for another one or return it, they have amazing policies so you don’t need to worry about wasting your money if it doesn’t work out for you.
