Just what I've been looking for
Eating well is a tough job given all the horrible food choices EVEYWHERE and the conflicting information regarding what the good choices are. Joy McCarthy brings her real knowledge of nutrition backed by education together with a personal history of food issues to address what it takes to eat well and be well. The book is easily read but packed with science based research and fact. She makes things simple and stress free. A chapter on what foods to ditch and why, followed by a chapter on the super foods and 5 super-joyous lifestyle habits. It is chock full of really tasty, easy, and super healthy recipes using all her nutritional expertise and skill in the kitchen. This is my new favorite book and will be a gift for a couple of friends.

Super informative and inspiring
Great recipes, easy to read, and really inspiring to get on the track to good health. With these recipes, you will not crave sugar, you will be satisfied because every recipe is so delicious. You will not feel like you are depriving yourself, and that makes it a sustainable healthy diet . Every recipe is quick and easy and most importantly: delicious. I bought this book for other family members because it is so good.

Positive energy in a book!
A wonderful book to own! The information is great. This book is so nice to read! It's not just words on a page- the advice is solid- the message is both encouraging and empowering. (The pages are pretty too)It not often I would make a comment on the book itself but I like the look and positive energy of this book!It's wonderful to have food, nutrition, & health information on hand thats easy to read & understand.

While Joy herself is adorable and the first part of the books is excellent!!! and SO inspiring, I think the section with recipes is very lacking in meals that have any satisfaction...I could only find two "dinner" type recipes my family would eat. Its great for smoothies and very light breakfasts or lunches, but not "real" meals. It is heavy on recipes for deserts. 4 stars just for the great research up front. It changed the way I look at food. Burgers and fries are a distant memory.

A great intro to healthy eating
This is a fantastic introduction to health living and eating. The book has great and easy to make recipes, meal plans, information on chemicals in beauty products and much more. The book has attractive photos and a cute layout. Joy is fabulous and I'm becoming a big fan down here in New Zealand. I highly recommend it.

A Book Everyone Should Buy!
After purchasing mine I bought two more to give to my sons. Have study nutrition for many years and found a number of new and helpful advise in this book. She writes like she is sitting right next to you, making it an easy and fun read. I highly recommend this book to anyone interested in learning about health.

Simply Lovely and Delicious!
What is in this book is a treasure trove of great recipes and useful advice, for anyone looking to feel great, eat healthy, and look good doing it. The ingredients are easy to find...at a natural foods store and/or this thing called the WORLD WIDE WEB, for anyone who can't find what you need. Try it out and feel great.

My favorite new cookbook and good read!
Got this last week and have already read through the whole thing and made a numbers of the recipes. All of the recipes I've made so far have been HUGE hits with the picky eaters in our house. If you're able, check out her YouTube site and website - so many great tips and recipes.
