So, I love this brand from years ago. A deli used these tomatoes in their salad bar and they were so delicious. I couldn’t find anything else that tasted as good.Because $30 is a lot to spend on a jar of dried tomatoes, I had this in my cart for YEARS… I finally bought a jar for myself (as a treat) and used them in bread I was baking… should’ve made delicious pizza bread which it did, until the grit or sand in these tomatoes almost cracked some teeth!This didn’t just happen once but with almost every slice. This is not what I expected from a $30 jar of sun dried tomatoes when I could get a grit free version from Trader Joe’s…Very disappointed and I won’t be purchasing this again…. I’m not even sure what to do with the remaining jar. It’s too risky to use and too expensive to toss so it sits on the fridge shelf… taunting me. Overall, this purchase left me feeling duped.

I'm quite impressed with the size of this jar at 32 oz. Honestly I've never had a jar this large and I tend to buy them just dried and reconstitute them myself. I do wish this was all olive oil but I'm fine with canola as well cuz I don't feel it adversely affects the taste. I just made a crock pot pot roast a couple of days ago and added a generous helping of these into the sauce. It gave it the most lovely rich and intensified flavor that I've had in a gravy before. These are Julie and the perfect size for a bite.I promptly refrigerated them per instructions after my initial use. I did not have them solidify in the fridge which may happen if there are less in the jar. This morning I made omelets with my family with the sun-dried tomatoes that I further diced with goat cheese and spinach. They were absolutely delicious. These are packed full of flavor and a little bit seems to go a long way. My spouse is not a tomato eater but ate these in the roast without complaint. Tonight we're making pizza, and I can't wait to use them. At the time of this review I don't know how much these retail for but you will not be disappointed as you get a full 32 oz of sun dried tomatoes.

Arrived on 3/18/21 with a Best By stamp18Jan2021 on it. I would like a refund please!
