DonJoy Lateral J Patella Knee Support Brace Without Hinge: Neoprene, Right Leg, Medium

This is the second DonJoy knee brace I own the first being just a custom fit sleeve. It does run a bit big my measurements came out to a medium but I think I should have ordered a small. However sizing isn't the reason for the 4 star rating that is due to where the velcro straps attach, it's on the inside of the leg so the first time I wore the brace on a walk the velcro rub against the other leg. I feel that it's mainly due to the quality of the velcro since it almost immediately started separating from the sleeve. I took an old sock and cut off the bottom and use it to cover the straps. It does what I needed from a knee brace I do recommend this brace just if your measurements are close to the first inches on the chart go down a size.

My kneecap likes to float. Have had a number of these over the years and they work. This purchase replaces one I bought 2 years ago, the Velcro straps wore out on the last. First time that happened. Will sew on some new Velcro and keep as a spare since the body is still in good shape. The only thing I don’t like is how hot and sweaty the neoprene makes my leg. Tried the dry material they also make this out of but it slid down. May try that again if I see they’ve changed up the material.

I’ve had this for 3 weeks and so far the knee support has been helpful. The material has stretched after a couple hours wearing it. Also, there is a seam on the back side of your knee that runs vertical and it is extremely uncomfortable... that was a pour design detail.

I bought two for my right knee, as I play multiple sports and like having more than one. I’ve previously used this brand before and liked them, but lost them and needed a replacement. One of the braces I bought the Velcro where it attaches ripped and the strap is almost completely gone making the brace virtually useless. This happened on the second or third wear. The other brace has been fine so far, but it’s a lot of money to spend for a brace I only wore 2-3 times

I have arthritis under my kneecap. Moving the kneecap right or left is supposed to relieve the pain. This did not happen for me at all.

Fits as expected, but if you have flabby legs, go up a size. Good quality product.
