- Preparation and use, This product comes directly from the ranch land to you. I recommend prior to use, that you rinse well then boil for 15 - 20 minutes to clean and sanitize. Rinse well and then let wood soak in fresh clean water for 24 to 48 hours to water log and sink the Cholla. This process also allows for the Cholla to release tannins which are not harmful but can discolor the water in your tank.
30 pieces of dried Cholla cactus wood. 15 pieces 5" long, 1/2" up to 3/4" and 15 pieces 3" X 1/2" up to 3/4" diameter. This wood is all natural and contains no chemicals or pesticides.
