If you have to read only one chapter of Gita out of 18, you need to read this second chapter.I would recommend this to any reader who are looking for authentic translation and commentary, The books follows the tradition of word to word translation, followed by english translation then commentary. The book in not polluted by any 'sucking up' tendency which is present in most western translations by colonized minds.

The second volume in this series is an important one. Swami Dayanandaji brings out many interesting facets of the verses. It lends a lot of clarity before moving ahead. The verses are juxtaposed with modern day situations and questions posed by people wanting to understand the Gita. One has to read this volume at a slow pace, imbibing the new content and reflecting on the new found meaning. It can become a Sadhana, if pursued with the right frame of mind.

It opens up a completely new way of thinking in the reader. Swamiji's command on the subject matter is indicative of his nearness to God.
