Quality Mozart on a budget
You can't go far wrong with Jendo's Mozart concerto series. The performances are stylish.the recordings excellent and well-balanced and the scale of things seems just right. The splendid Concentus Hungaricus play beautifully and Jeno Jando's subdued vocalising is scarcely in evidence here ; certainly no more than Brendel's and infinitely less than the notorious Glenn Gould! Most listeners won't be aware of it.These may not be among Mozart's most celebrated Piano Concertos but they are most enjoyable. No 19 is aptly coupled here with the early Nos 6and 8.It seems to look back somewhat to the spirit of these works rather than forward to the towering masterpieces that were to follow.Quite a bargain.

Brilliant: my most-played CD
Bought this one as a present, as I was asked for a recommendation and I knew this to be really enjoyable to listen to. Grows on you.
