Quite possibly the best garden tool I've ever owned!
If you plant a lot of bulbs you really should get this tool. I planted over 600 tulip and daffodil bulbs this fall. I could not have done that planting volume without this auger. It makes bulb planting so easy. One caution, however: This big auger puts a lot of torque on a cordless drill. I stripped the gears on a 12 volt cordless drill. My new 18 volt Bosch handled it with no problem whatsoever. Once you make this purchase you'll want to purchase more and more bulbs because it is so easy to plant them. What could possibly be wrong with that scenario?!

Labor Saving but Needs a Strong Drill
I used this 3" x 12" auger to drill 65 holes for planting garden transplants from 3" pots. My soil is no-till so it is not super soft. However, neither is it virgin sod. This auger did a superb job attached to my Makita cordless drill with a 5 Amp-hour battery. After 65 holes, the battery was still not dead. Some reviewers have recommended using a side handle on the drill. This is probably a good idea although I didn't. If you hit a root, stone, or tough lump of sod, while running a powerful drill, this auger will grab and twist you around. That is the nature of augers, however.Overall a good purchase that saved me a lot of time and effort.

LOVE IT!!! Wish I knew about this product many years ago!
Ground is Oregon can be hard and clay like hardness during the dry season.preparing for the summer of planting can be challenging and this made it super easy!was thinking about buying a dedicated Auger but could not justify the cost for such dedicated function.happy i am able to leverage my cordless drill(s) for planting.Only part that I am a bit curious is the amount of power is consumes while digging...Digging 8 holes consumed two fully charged batteries... One DeWalt 18V and one Rigid Cordless drill battery...love this product and it is a MUST have for all you guys enjoying playing with your power tools while working in the garden....

Puts power back into your power tool.
This simple little tool has made planting so easy. I can’t calculate how much time I’ve saved and how much back and knee pain I’ve avoided from being hunched over. One negative: if the power in your electric drill is set to high, it will snatch itself right out of your hand. I twisted my wrist more than once using this tool in soil that was a heavy clay and walked away with a sore arm and hand.

New and Improved Design works very well
After posting my first review on this product (which was not good), the company contacted me, stating that they had updated (improved) this product and if I would give them another try. Well....I received the new and improved product and was VERY impressed and happy with the new auger. They have made the shaft of the auger longer and sturdier, and I went to try it in the same spot which I had used it prior and the new one dug into the ground with no problem! I am excited to continue to use this product and would definitely order from this company again. They really went out of their way to try and make the consumer happy and the customer service was outstanding. Thank you!

Ok for light duty and soft soil
The hex drive shaft bent the first day. This thing works great in soft soil like potting mix. If there is any hardness to the soil it doesn’t stand up to the job. I really wanted this to work

Smaller auger bit works better on battery operated drill
Updated review: I was contacted by the company which noted that this size auger bit is better for a corded (non-battery operated) drill. Mine is cordless and fully charged 20v. They sent me a smaller auger bit and it worked. Went through the soil very easily. Updated to a 4 star review instead.Old review: didn't work as noted, it barely went through the soil which was not compacted. The soil I attempted to use it through was in a raised flower bed. I charged the drill battery to make sure that wasn't the issue and I had the same result.

I’d buy another.
This is a clever tool that will definitely come in handy for the clay soils, especially those with a lot of rocks when trying to dig a hole, even a small one, for planting can feel like you’re trying to escape Alcatraz using a plastic spoon. It’s nicely designed with a durability that’s sure to last.

No es tan resistente la flecha
Muy débil la flecha de donde se sujeta se enchueca muy fácilmente
