I love these books and have one for almost every National Park I have been to. They are great for finding nice hikes and learning about the park. I will say, a lot of the hikes in this book were longer than my mom and I were capable of but we still found some. I would just say that you need to be careful about how long ago these books was written and make sure park rules haven't changed since then. For instance, with this book, a lot of the hikes are down the Bear Lake Corridor but Rocky now requires a separate reservation just for that corridor. Make sure you check the official park website for all up-to-date info and do not just rely on the book.

Used on a recent trip to RMNP. We were a large group ranging in age from 2 - 60. That being said we were looking for hikes with great views ( I know hard not to do there) with low levels of difficulty. This book definitely helped point us in the right direction.

This book was a great help in planning our trip! Great overview info for the various hikes, basic and easy to read maps of each trail, and also a detailed page description of each hike. I highly recommend it for people heading to RMNP for the first time.
