Managing grief after sudden loss
I have read many books on grief as I've wrestled with my best friend's murder, but this is the first that specifically addressed sudden death. There are many practical applications I've implemented from this book, especially about grief time tables and being gentle with myself. I also learned a lot from the author's gentle approach with loved ones touched by suicide. I highly recommend this book to anyone wrestling with grief following a murder, suicide or accident.

very readable
I had already read some of this book before ordering so knew it was going to be good. Excellent for widening your own knowledge of this subject and understanding others who have experienced the aftermath

While a bit older, a great resource for a unique set of losses
Every loss and death is different, but sudden and unexpected deaths can present unique challenges to the grieving process—including being complicated, prolonged, and particularly distressing. This is a great resource that describes the variety of dynamics that come with these losses. A solid resource for self-awareness and accessing compassion for others (for those in caring professions).
