We got the 'blue' unit.It came with 4 (regular) Batteries.Very easy to get set up. Very easy to use.At the time - it was right at the tail end of my husband doing a BP watch via the surgery - he had a loaner unit in our home - using it twice a day to monitor for a BP study.One night he used that unit and then used this one - it was spot on with the one from the surgery!We've both used it and it's very easy to use!Comes with a great little case!The unit disassembles so you can take it just about anywhere. You do not need to plug this in for power (as mentioned came with 4 AAA batteries).The cuff - is fairly large and can be sized down (my husbands arms are quite big! My arms are quite small comparatively speaking! (it is velcro, no 'straps')The only quibble I have with this - is that if you take the batteries out - reset it - it resets the date >.< (Bit annoying really but understandable - taking the batteries out - you're resetting the entire machine, all of these tend to work that way and is something I hope 'they' universally work on!! Not entirely this unit's fault! but something of which to be aware).IF you need a good at home BP monitor - this was not only highly recommended by others, but in the top ten 'best units' (both 'best overall' and 'best budget' monitors!) VERY good - and!! We've been back to the surgery to check back and still proving to match the ones there! I highly recommend this BP monitor!! (Very worth it - the investment is small considering WHAT it is and WHAT you're monitoring! THere are many others out there which probably offer 'more' but this does the job and does it very well). If you can afford to go for a unit that offers more features, welll go for it! But this is simple, straight forward and gives you a very good/accurate reading! Easy easy easy to use! (put on, read and so on).

I bought this as I dropped and broke my last one which I bought from the NHS Chemist. Glad that I did the pressure on the cuff is very mild and kind to your arm unlike my last one. No complaints so far although my blood pressure is slightly high. I am a Diebetic and need to do this every day as i suffer high blood pressure as well. easy to use and to read. It came on time for delivery. Put batteries in set the date and time and the way you go. easy peasy. Hope this helps you all..

Been through a few meters over the past few years and none very accurate. Have checked this against what my doctor uses and was surprisingly accurate. The meters I've used in the past pump up the pressure and then gradually lets it down whilst taking the reading. This one reads as it is going up and suddenly releases pressure when it has got its readings.

Got this today for my elderly mother decided to try it out on myself first,followed instructions first reading 192/89 thought no way did it again after waiting awhile next reading 224/123 if this was right I should been in ambulance.went straight to the chemist reading 140/80 she said it was a bit high probably due to anxiety it had caused me.its being returned.

If the readings at home were accurate I'm not sure I should be alive. Anything from 180 upwards!Checked with surgery and found this model to give constantly higher readings than the surgery machine.Do I send it back for a refund or ask for a more efficient model?EDIT 19 Sept: Surgery reading 149; nurse checked this machine: reading 203!

I was initially worried that I wouldn't be able to operate this.... But believe me this is so easy to use. The instructions are extremely clear. Its brilliant to be able to take BP at home when I'm much more relaxed. Everyone should buy one.

This BPM is relatively easy to use, the cuff is connected to the main unit via the pipe. Put cuff on left arm and turn it on. It take 30 to 60 seconds to perform a reading. There is a memory feature to store previous readings. To repeat test you have to turn it off and on again which is slightly annoying but not the end of the world.

I was surprised with the speed at which this item landed on my doorstep! I think I had ordered this item on a Monday morning & it landed on my doorstep on Tuesday afternoon! (Errrm I wonder if Amazon can beat that record!) The machine is very easy to put together & although it comes with a very comprehensive instruction booklet, I didn’t use it to put it together. The instruction booklet comes into play when you start using the machine on a regular basis as the booklet gives you information on taking blood pressure readings. A great item, great value for money!
