*******Update 6/12/18*******Just started drinking loose tea again, and after trying others that are much better and even a less expensive I had to lower my rating from 4 to two stars. I recently ordered a one pound bag of Rishi Organic Jasmine here on Amazon, and it's so much better than this Two Leaves Jasmine there's just no comparison. On a per ounce basis the Rishi is even a little less expensive, and it's organic. I have no reason left to recommend this tea when there are others out there that are so clearly superior. I'm trying an even cheaper brand in the near future and will update again.======================================Just received this yesterday and tried for the first time. I bought this on strength of reviews and price. As far as flavor goes, this one is decent but pretty middle-of-the-road as far as others I've tried. I agree with a previous post that it lacks fragrance and has a very muted jasmine flavor. My guess is this tea is not infused with jasmine flowers for a very long time, and they throw in some jasmine petals to try to boost the jasmine component a little. It does just enough to diminish the grassy flavor of straight green tea that I very much dislike, which is good, but for my taste it falls flat on the jasmine side. Some may prefer this as it is a bit mellower, but I'm a big fan of the jasmine taste and aroma so for me it falls a bit short. Some of the top jasmines I've tried from Ten Ren and In Pursuit of Tea have significanlty more jasmine aroma and flavor and are probably infused several more times with jasmine petals, but probably because of this they're much more expensive and may even go too far for some folks to the point of tasting somewhat bitter (especially if brewed too long or with water that's too hot). I'll probably buy them for special occasions or when I want to spoil myself a little, but on a daily basis I may stick with Two Leaves and a Bud since although it's a little boring it's not bad. And pricewise it's more comparable to the crappy stuff that's not nearly as good as this. So to bottom line it, on taste I'd give this tea three stars but because the price is so good (especially on Amazon) I boosted the rating to four stars. I'll probably keep buying it as my daily drinker until something else surfaces.

Something Wrong With This
I'd had this tea at my daughter's house; however, what I received was definitely not the same. It has no smell and no taste. I've tried brewing it several different ways and still tastes like a cup of hot water. Will not buy it again. I wish I could return it, but I put off using it until the one month window closed.

better than some
It is nice, it is better than the jasmine green tea I've been using from Frontier; I can taste the jasmine. However, it's not as amazingly jasmine as some I've had—such as Rishi. Also, now that I've discovered real, totally whole leaf tea (brought back from China by my brother who lives there now), I'm spoiled. I don't even know if consumers in North America can get the kind he brought me. The leaves open up and they are complete leaves. This Two Leaves and a Bud is certainly better and more whole-leaf than what is available at American grocery stores, but just don't let anybody spoil you and bring you the premium tea that only the Chinese know about. But, back to the real world: yes this product's jasmine is tasty and the green is flavorful, not bitter, not grassy.

Tastes like jasmine!!
I use this for cold brew and it works perfectly. It can be a bit gritty and tough to chew so I would recommend removing all the leaves and then drinking just the leaf soup.

Did they put the wrong tea in my bag?
Original Review: This tea produces a beautiful dark liquid that pairs well with milk and sugar. It does not, however, look, smell, or taste remotely like jasmine tea.Revised Review: It appears that the company incorrectly filled a bag labeled "jasmine" with an assam tea. I received a new shipment of the product and think it is a reasonably good everyday jasmine tea.

Great Tea, Little Fragrance
The tea leaves are marvelous: well-formed, not torn, not cut. The tea has a lovely grassy, slightly astringent flavor. It's medium-bodied but full in the mouth. I would buy this tea again, but I must note it is not very fragrant, which is part of the tasting experience. It tastes great to me, but I do not get much jasmine, despite an abundance of petals in the tea. For the price, I highly recommend it unless you are sorely bent on the jasmine fragrance.

NOT jasmine pearls
The tea that is described is "jasmine pearl tea", and so is the image that accompanies this item. the tea is in fact NOT jasmine pearl tea, but rather an almost comicaly (and somewhat insulting) inferior grade of tea. if jasmine tea still has flowers in it, it's what you might call "bottom of the barrel" tea. that's what was sent to me, not the coveted jasmine pearls that are described and shown.I can't help but feel a little bit DUPPED by the whole transaction, and I likely won't be purchasing anything from this seller ever again.once more, BEWARE: THE PRODUCT DESCRIBED AND PICTURED ABOVE IS MISLEADINGLY INCORRECT. this tea is NOT jasmine pearl, it's low grade full leaf tea. I'm saddened by the fact that I purchased a whole pound of this stuff. you've been warned :)
