I have now received two of these kits as first sample I sent was lost in the post. The packaging has changed significantly for the second one in a very positive way, so it is an indication that the product is constantly being improved as the original kit was over-packaged while the new pack is not and is designed so that you re-use the pack sent to you for returning the sample thereby reducing waste. What you are primarily paying for is the DNA analysis so fancy packaging is not required.Taking the DNA sample with the swab is straightforward, but the instructions say that you should not do it too soon after eating or drinking so I had to wait a while from the time I first intended to do it.Before sending off the swab you must register the kit on the Nutri-Genetix website entering in the kit barcode and some personal details (You need to know your height in cm and weight in kg to do this). (When I did this the first time something went wrong on the web site and despite receiving an email to say it was registered, none of my details were saved. When I mailed the support team about the issue they responded within a couple of hours and were very helpful, and with the exchange of a few mails the issue was resolved (The problem appeared to be due to them moving to a new system so should not be an issue for people in the future).When I had not received any update after 4 weeks, I contacted the company through the chat on their web site. I received a fast and friendly response to say that they had not received the sample and they would therefore send me out a new kit.I have now registered the new kit, retaken and posted the sample and I am waiting to hear back. I will update the review when I hear back the results.

I took the NGX Health and Nutrition DNA Test to see if I could improve my diet, fitness, and wellbeing. I was surprised at how much of the results matched up with what I already knew about myself. I knew that my body was sensitive to certain foods, but I didn't realize it was as bad as it was. It was really cool to see it all laid out in front of me and know that there were specific foods that would help me feel better.The report also gave me some useful advice on how to improve my physical performance and cognitive function through diet, which is something I am working on right now.I would definitely recommend taking this test if you're interested in improving your health!

This promises a lot and based on the £100 price, it should deliver.I am still in the process of waiting for the swab results to come back and let me know the results of what's going on inside my body. The test is very easy to to. Just take a swab of the inside of your mouth with the included swab stick and post it off for free with the enclosed envelope. You do have to register your information online, although this didn't take me long at all and was pretty seamless.I sent my swab off for testing about a week ago now and I hope to have the results in the next few days. I am excited to see what it tells me. The only issue I have is just how accurate the results are. As a user, I don't have any way of scientifically analysing the results that come back to determine if they are as accurate as they should be. I just have to rely on the fact that the results are what they are and take it at face value that those results are accurate.

The results of the DNA test are sent to the customer in what appears to be a format that is dumbed down for the beginner. Im really excited at the products potential and the way it is moving forwards with genetic led health and fitness. There is a concern that there is no follow up service, or at least and additional one. This service would ascertain for certain whether this product does in reality what it is supposed to do…how do I know if it’s working unless a blood sample is taken and shows improvement / change for the better?Without baseline testing of actual nutrient blood levels, and then repeat blood tests after ~3 months, it is not possible to objectively assess if NGX is working effectively, that is balancing the body’s nutrient needs. For example, a balanced diet may already provide all the nutrients. We have no evidence of deficiency. Thats something that could improve this.However despite these concerns it’s so reassuring to know that I’m getting what my body specifically needs and on a daily basis too. The report was fascinating and enlightening and will help me change my diet slightly based on the results. It just takes the guesswork out of balancing vitamins and nutrition.It’s the only personalised nutrition product that I know of. It gives me confidence that I’m getting the right amount of vitamins, minerals and other micro nutrients that my body needs to function efficiently.I highly recommend and hope this review helps.

Very happy with this home DNA test kit. The instructions are very clear. It ia easy to complete the test and the results were available fast. Great idea for peace of mind about my health.

Great. Really gave me an insight on where I need to improve my nutrition and where my genetics play a role in digestion, energy and focus. Great to be able to them utilise this with my diet and what supplements I might take because of my genetics. Worth doing once!

Seemingly good test. Price is reasonably. Instructions and k it could be clearer. My set instructed I had two barcodes, although only one is seemingly needed. Only one barcode was provided. Awaiting test results.

I was really impressed with the speed of delivery - the pack arrived way before the estimated delivery date. The test itself was super straightforward and took no time at all. I've now submitted my test - I'll update this review when I get the results back.
