Enjoyable and educational book about how we view ourselves and others.

I read this when I was a young parent, glad I did. Bought it for my daughter-in-law. Hope she like it as much as I did. Very helpful book in raising children.

I was leery at first to listen to an audiobook whilst driving believing it may be distracting. That was not the case at all. This book is really good and helped pass the time when making the hour-long trek to work each day. This book was a great one for my first time!

Several years ago I bought the book, The Gift of the Blessing, by Gary Smally and John Trent. For me that was one of the most inspiering books I have red. It tought me about myself and my background that made me see things and understand things that made positive changes possible. It also made me understand more about the people around me, including my parents and siblings.It also enabled me to find a new way to give things of value to other people, in their time of need. I must honestly say that The Blessing is a good book, one that is enabling and gives new value to dealing with other people, both in my family, my neighborhood and other settings, like my Church and workplace.Because I liked the book so much, I let a friend borrow it. He lent it to another friend, and now I don't know where it is or who has it. So when I saw that a new edition was out The Blessing, I just knew this is a book I want and need.It you know you lack the blessing, reading the book may provide you with something that will lead you on a path for healing. I have found that the truth that the highly credible authors tell, is applicable in life.Get the book, get inspired and be a greater blessing!

As advertised - smaller than I thought it would be, my mistake

A very interesting look at the historical and Biblical importance of blessing those around you. Besides a few outdated points or stories, I gleaned a lot from this and ended up striking up several discussions on the topic with some friends.

A counselor recommended this book to me, and it spoke to me on so my levels. If you struggle with feeling like anything you do is not good enough; or with feelings of not being accepted; this book may help you understand why you have those feelings. It helped me and maybe it will help you as well.
