Laura's Lean 92% Lean Ground Beef (1)

Excellent Iowa beef, delivered frozen solid to my door?? Take my money! I’ve ordered this particular ground beef 6 times now, and I’ve ordered the 85/15 version a few times as well. This 92/8 is very flavorful for a low fat content ground beef, actually it’s flavorful PERIOD.Whether it’s chili, spaghetti meat sauce, meatloaf, hamburgers, sloppy joes, etc., this ground beef makes it delicious, although it’s ground too fine for chunky chili. I spiced up 8 lbs. and used a Jerky Blaster gun and Excalibur dehydrator to make yummy jerky strips and sticks. The 96/4 would be a bit better for jerky making, but I can’t justify the extra $1/lb. for 2% less fat.Always arrives frozen solid in vacuum sealed 1lb. packages. When it thaws, there is hardly any liquid in the package. It smells fresh. Best of all, it costs virtually the same as very lean ground beef in the store, but it gets delivered to my porch. I will keep on buying it as long as the price is good.I do have to add, though, that I don’t understand the reviewers that say this meat is grisly or otherwise nasty. In over 50 packages, I’ve never found gristle. Because this was frozen after vacuum sealing, the raw texture is a bit different from fresh ground beef. The texture after cooking is no different than fresh. The fat percentages seem to be exactly as stated, no matter which you buy.This company is also very responsive to customer service requests. I contacted them during the Great Southern Ice Storm of 2021, and their response was immediate and very helpful. That is worth everything these days!

Arrived very quickly, just a few days, way ahead of the original estimate, frozen solid, individually packed in air free 1lb. packages so they'll last a long time in the freezer, and I've already tested some out, it's delicious ...
