I had to write a review on this solar/battery system with the LED lights that come with it. This is a fantastic system that can do so much, and I am very happy I found it a few years ago and bought it. I can't remember what I paid for it then, but it has been worth every penny. It was packaged well, and came to me undamaged. I think I have used it for 3 camping seasons so far, and it can light up my camps like you have on grid lighting. There are 2 different wattages of bulbs, that burn very little power (2.5 and 3 watt I believe), I can't remember now because I have bought other types that also plug into the USB ports and have inline switches. The cords are around 16 feet long with inline switches near the battery pack end where they plug in. I bought shorter ones for closer in, and even bought some USB extension cords to reach farther away. Since there are 5 USB ports on the battery pack, you have 5 options (or more if you add multi port USB extensions). I have to say that I usually don't use all of the 5 lights at once just to conserve energy, but I have had them all on at the same time for several minutes without any issues. Even the smallest wattage lights, one at a time, can light up the whole camp brighter than most lanterns, and I only use a lantern now to set up if I arrive after dark. Another cool thing about the lights are that if you have any kind of portable power pack/supply with a USB port, the lights will also work in them for hours. I have found that the 2.5 watt bulbs will work in a 2-18650 lithium cell pack for a few hours, so that makes them a more portable light source for tents, RV's, hiking, etc. And the cool thing is that you can plug the portable 18650 packs, or anything that can be charged by the 30 watt solar panels, into the power pack to recharge them the next day in the sun. I have several items I recharge while camping, a lithium tent light, cell phones (Usually 3 at a time), my head lamp, portable Bluetooth speakers, battery packs, etc., etc., and they all get charged full by night fall. I did make one modification to the battery pack though that I think is a good idea...I was concerned that the little LED light stays on on the battery pack during storage, so I opened the case, and installed a master battery cut off switch so the power pack wouldn't trickle discharge while not in use. This modification works great to insure the charge is kept maximized over long non use periods. I soldered and shrink tubed the connections to eliminate possible shorts for safety, but this would be a nice factory modification to have a master off switch. I would like to see that, and possibly an optional carrying case like a lightweight suitcase for travel and storage. The panels (that are closely and permanently wire connected side by side) work well, but are bulky when bolted to the frame that came with them. At first I just laid them out on top of my truck, and when breaking camp, I simply folded them together and stored them in a felt bag. But once I took the time to bolt them to the rack, it became too much of a hassle to take them apart, and I was afraid I would loose the tiny nuts, washers, and bolts. I think a good remedy for this system would be a fold up flexible solar panel that could also be more versatile for portability on hikes, boating, and car camping, etc.. So about 3 years of use so far and still working great! I love it, and am very happy I chose this system. I would like to see some greater Lithium Ion battery pack and charging sized packaged options from this company, if there is any? There are several companies now coming out with larger battery pack storage options with multiple types of power ports, so it would be nice to have a bigger pack with a pure sine wave inverter built in with 110v and 12v ports. First of all this seller delivered the product fast. I ordered 30 W foldable GVSHINE solar panel to light up a shed. The product arrived well packaged. The assembly of this product takes 10 minute with ease. Just follow the instruction and wallah... the light comes on. We lived in a ranch and we have one shed that my husband built that is away from the house. We decided to use solar light instead of electricity. My husband put the panel up on the roof of our shed and so impressed of how much bright light it gives. It doesn't require anything but just the sun and there you go...you got light. I recommend this to anyone who are looking for a small dependable solar light. Thank you for introducing us to solar light. We like that it is a complete set. 3 solar panel, 1 solar battery/transmitter, 4 bulbs, and all the wirings. There's a turn on/off button on all 4 bulbs. The best part of it all is how easy to set it up and you can bring it anywhere especially when you go camping. It can light up the whole RV and you can charge your phone.

This product is good for lighting and recharging your phones. It works well, but the durability is questionable. I used this every day for about 7-8 months, and it worked great. Suddenly, 3 of the ports started making scary sounds when the light was plugged into them (like a frying, high pitched electric sound). I contacted the seller to ask if there was any type of warranty, and he offered to send me another customer's return unit - one where he said he didn't know if it worked or not. I agreed, and in a couple days, the return unit arrived. When I opened the package and turned on the unit's power switch, nothing happened. I plugged in a light bulb, and there was no power. It did not appear to work. I just assumed that's why the original customer returned it. DOA. So, being a bit of a tinkerer, I decided to open it up to see if I could figure out what was wrong. The internals are actually really simple: * Battery pack consists of 8 lithium ion cells - 26650 in 2s4p configuration. The wrapper reads: 3500*8 7.4V14A * There is a BMS on the battery pack, but no charge controller. It looks like the solar panel goes directly to the battery, and relies on the BMS to stop charging when full. * There are 2 ICs for the USB ports - I believe they are switch mode step down converters. 1 IC powers 3 of the usb ports, and the other powers the remaining 2. * There are a handful of capacitors, inductors, diodes, and resistors, but not much. I believe these are for the USB 5v ICs. * The front power switch is soldered in a way such that the main circuit board cannot be removed without desoldering it, which is really weird. I was unable to test the components because of this. Anyhow, I measured each of the cells of the battery pack, and they all read around 3.4 volts, which is good. But when I measured the output of the BMS, it was 0. I remember reading somewhere that some BMS boards come from the factory "off", and you need to charge it to activate it, so I decided to hook it up to the solar panel to try charging it. Well, that was the problem. There was nothing wrong with it. After I plugged it into the solar panel, and charged it, it came alive, and started working. My original unit didn't have this problem though, so I don't know why this other one did. Anyway, I do enjoy this product, and I believe you get a lot for the price, but the longevity of the product is questionable. I read another review, where the person's unit also broke down in about a year, so I don't really know how common this is. I do use it every single day, but I was expecting it to last at least a year. If the seller didn't send me a replacement unit, or if the returned product he had shipped to me didn't work, I would have given this 2 stars, due to how long my item lasted. The seller made an effort to make things right, and at the end, I got a working replacement, so I rated this at 4 stars. It is a cool product, and I enjoy it, but again, I'm not expecting this thing to last too long.

I did some research before I purchased this product. It doesn't have the bells and whistles that some other products offer, but it does provide the best features that count in an emergency. Here are some of the pros: - The lights are amazingly bright and each is controlled by its own switch on a long electrical cable. - The rechargeable battery has a much greater capacity than other products at this price. - As for the solar panel, it offers a full 30 watts to keep the battery charged even on overcast days. - The solar panel frame and battery case are all metal for durability. - The unit is compact and can be tucked away in the corner of a room for quick access in an emergency. One con: - Despite the the fact that the solar panel is described as foldable, it is not. Once the sections and stand are assembled, only disassembly allows it to be stored away in a smaller package. It would be nice if the manufacturer provided hinges or quick connect fittings. I've only had this product for a few months, but so far there's really nothing seriously negative about it. It provides safety and convenience during power outages and at a very reasonable price.

I have only had this for about a week but so far great! Everything is working just like its suppose to and that's kinda rare with this type of stuff. The only thing that I was kinda surprised about was the green box with battery in it is super tiny. I added a photo with my hand beside the box and no I don't have hulk hands it's really that small. But as long as it's working great that's no big deal just not what I expected by looking at pics on Amazon. U only need around 3 hours of light to keep it charged also which is great and last all night when running 2 bulbs and charging my iPhone. Haven't tried with all 4 lights in yet. Hope this helps anyone looking at it. Edit: I’ve had this unit for over 4 years and it’s still going strong I even purchased another one with usb extensions here on amazon so I have a light in every room in my house they definitely have paid for themselves many times over in the savings to my electric bill. In the summer I also use them to charge our phones and things. In the winter you must conserve them since less sunlight. I was a little concerned at first because of the size I was afraid they wouldn’t last long but they have held up beyond my expectations Edit2: I had to add another update both of my units are still going strong! I use them daily and the only problem I had was one of the lights went out and I had to buy another one. I got it here on amazon for 9$. these things are ridiculously reliable. in the winter we have to use the lights more sparingly but you get used to turning them on and off when needed. in the summer we leave at least 4 lights (2 on each unit) on until we go to sleep then leave thw bathroom light on all night for the kids. In the winter with far less daylight hours you need ro conserve but these things have paid for themselves a long time ago by savings on our electric bill. I would have been happy had they lasted 2 years but they have blown my mind. the old one still charges and hold power the same as it did when new as well as the newer one which is now several years old. I want to buy another one for my outside building and would like to have one to store just in case they can be killed and i need to replace one. Also in the winter when it snows remember to sweep the snow off the panels or leaves in the fall. I have made a believer out of so many friends and family members who doubted when i first bought one. The only down side is they call me to instal them. ;)

Have had this item for a few months and I really like it. I set it up in a semi "off grid camper /tiny house and it works great. I used stick on small hooks to run the lines throughout the camper which works well, the lines are plenty long. Honestly, one light in the middle is enough to light just about the entire camper (24 foot) but the others are already in place. Very bright white light. I was only taking the panel outside every week or so when I wanted to charge it a bit but have now moved it to the roof to see if it is in fact waterproof. One charge, (in the green) is plenty to operate at least a couple lights and charge a phone or tablet easily. I have never drained the battery but always turn it off when I go to bed. It would be even better if the individual on/off switched were at the "bulb" end of the lines though instead of near the battery box. I'd like to order another one to have as a backup.

I’m very impressed with the quality of the unit and brightness of the bulbs. They now have an on/off switch at each bulb which some people said was needed who purchased an earlier model. It’s good to know when there is a power outage, I will have a reliable light source. Unless of course the sun quits shining and if that’s the case, we have a lot more to worry about. My only “ complaint” is the rather antiquated way in which the three panels are held together. There are several metal brackets and very tiny screws that have to be used to assemble it. If you drop one of the screws, you’re screwed. Ha ha. You’ll never find it. They really need to design a three section panel that simply folds up with permanent hinges attached. Would be easy to do.

We have had this unit a little over a year. At first it worked pretty good. We mostly charged our phones, and used the lights on occasion when our generator ran out of gas. We even thought about getting higher wattage light bulbs, as the included ones don’t have much power. About 6 months in 2 of the USB ports gave out. We are now a little over a year in, and the only port that works is the 5v port. We really liked the idea of this product as we are off grid, but wish they were made better and had a longer warranty. I would not buy this product again unless a longer warranty was included. Update. The seller replaced the original broken unit with a brand new one which was very nice. That unit has now also died. The same thing happened. First one of the USB ports stopped working. Then the whole unit would not take a charge. The replacement unit was used sparingly a couple nights a week for an hour or 2 when we turned off our generator. At this point I cannot give this item a positive review unless there are some changes in design.

My husband and I are extremely happy with this product. We set it up in our barn for our chickens. Within two weeks the chickens went from laying two dozen eggs a day to seven dozen per day.
