I bought this book in 1984 before Amazon could verify my purchase.This monograph about Edvard Munch was published in English way back in 1984 and it still rates as one of the best books available on Edvard Munch. Please note the bulk of the visual contents come from the Edvard Munch Museum located in Oslo Norway.So many paintings, sketches and studies are reproduced here in color within this 305 page hardcover out of demand, out of sight what with newer not greater books on Munch more heavily promoted. I recommend this volume even if you can only buy one book on Munch.

Wonderful addition to our library! Love this artist and it is great to have some of his work up close and personal!
