I was using this to measure the heat in my corn snake terrarium. It kept showing 72-77 degrees. I was feeling concerned it was reading low, because I kept adding heat and it kept barely going up, if at all, and so I just bought a new thermometer, and guess what? That thermometer shows 83 degrees in the same location this thing is reading 77. To be sure it is this one reading inaccurately, I tested it on my own forehead: 93 degrees. DO NOT RISK YOUR ANIMAL'S SAFETY WITH THIS DANGEROUS EQUIPMENT! I will be returning it.

I've been through 3 therm. Guns and hands down this is the most accurate one to date. Simple and cheap. With a 7 different test that passed all by .6 of a degree difference at the most. Must buy

Pros: Fast delivery, great price, easy to use.Cons: the readings bounce drastically if you aren’t steady. A little shake causes a 1-200° jump on small surfaces.Overall: you get what you pay for, usually. Although, for the price here, you can’t beat it. It got here in a day and a half, wasn’t hard to figure out, and didn’t hurt my wallet to buy. Definitely would recommend this thermometer to others.

This is easy way to get my turtle tank temperature he always bite the the underwater temperature so it did not last long and I can also get a reading on his basting area.

I bought this to keep close attention to my bearded dragons enclosure temp. It works perfect. Even used it to check oil temp when cooking!
