Certified Refurbished Echo Show 5 | Compact smart display with Alexa, Black

The Echo show is great. I listen to music, have connected it to my Netflix and Amazon Prime and to YouTube, have Spotify to listen to music. Keep updated with the weather and set timers when I'm cooking.The only downside I have found so far is its not as sensitive in listening as my Alexa Dot in my bedroom. With my Alexa I can whisper anywhere in my bedroom and she will hear me, the Echo show I've found I have to speak up even when sitting 3 ft away from it. It even asked me the other day if I had to try more than once to get it's attention! So it must realise its a problem. But that shouldn't put anyone off getting one as the good features far outweigh this one slight issue and hopefully it might be an issue that can be resolved easily enough.Fantastic product, well worth the purchase!

Bought this for the bedroom to join the rest of my alexa family mainly for use for an alarm clock. It was a refurbished item but may as well been bought new as it was completely unmarked. For the price of a normal alarm clock this does so much more, for example we use the rain sleep sounds at night. For me, all of the alexa speaker range are terrific vfm and this is no exception.

We bought 3 of these devices to act as alarm clocks and Echo Dot replacements in bedrooms.They worked flawlessly for a while, providing an acceptable speaker volume/quality and the screen worked perfectly. However, a year or 2 down the line, the screens are now flickering and defective (Presumably after being on almost permanently in some form). They're still usable as an alarm, but not ideal for any purposes where you'd need the screen.Just bear in mind, they won't last for ever and will need replacing down the line at some point.

Great bit of kit, cheaper than the echo and very nice with the display which is remarkably clear and bright. If this is refurbished then I may never buy new again, absolutely pristine condition in proper box and sealed in plastic wrap. Good value for the money. Sound is not the best but acceptable for what this was designed for.

I got this, like many others, as an alarm clock for the bedroom. It has multiple clock faces to suit all tastes. The microphones for waking it up are nowhere near as good as those on the other larger echos I have, so a bit of voice projection is needed. The sound and visual lines are both made better when you put the Show on a stand. Don't bother with the £25 stand, as I found an £8 one which is more than adequate for this small unit. I did find though, that the Show 8 did require a £25 stand because of its size and weight. Overall, I'm happy with the Show 5 as its neat and not too obtrusive. I wouldn't recommend it though, if you want to listen to a lot of music - best to go for a Show 8 or 10 if you want a visual display and decent sound.

With the country wide lockdown we could keep in touch with all our friends and family who also have one of these even our grandchildren love calling us on it and also it’s great to just listen to music and has a massive library too a very good buy and of course Alexa knows everything

Bought the Show 5 cheap as a refurb, looked like new to me. Sound quality is a bit muffled but good enough for this price. Unit does run a bit hot which made me question the power efficiency. Nice to see all my photos though the screen aspect ratio means they are cropped.
