Not only is this clock clever in style, but it is clever enough to keep the time!

I thought a saw blade clock would be perfect in my wood shop. And I still think it is. However, the hands on this particular clock very fragile and unprotected making it very difficult to use. They arrive loose and attempts to tighten them against the stem of the mechanism resulted in only temporary joy as the quickly became loose again. Fearing that any further repair efforts would result in bending the incredibly flimsy material I proceeded with caution. After 2 days of fiddling, it still did not work properly. It needs to be built of sturdier material and the hands need protection. I would recommend looking for a different clock

I did not learn my lesson about this clock. After reading all the reviews of this item and seeing that 45% of the people found problems with the item, while only 55% found no problem, I should have known that there was a 50% chance that my clock would also become defective. So I spin the wheel and take the chance, and order this clock, saying, "No, it can't happen to me!" Well it did. This could be a good item if it worked right. The problem is that the hour and minute hands (hammer and sawblade) can't stay fastened tight enough to the stem of the clock movement. They slip, and the wrong time is displayed. The second hand is OK and quite accurately ticks away the seconds. The saw blade face is made of actual stainless steel and is really sharp on the edges! There is an actual message on the packaging warning people not to use the clock face in a real circular saw! That's weird... that might be the only part of the clock that would actually work right! So, at least I got a nice clock face, and I will either repair the hands or buy a new clock motor, and use the saw blade and hammer hands. For $20, it's way less expensive than taking the time and effort to search around for the right actual circular saw blade to make into a clock.UPDATE: I AM CHANGING MY RATINGS AFTER ONE DAYI took the clock apart last night... dismantled the hands, took the clock motor off the saw blade face, took the hands of the clock motor shaft, straightened them out a bit, re-installed the motor and tightened the washer and screw holding it in place on the clock, then re-installed the hands on the motor shafts, and reinserted the battery. Now It works fine now nd keeps good accurate time. Just remember that when you install the battery, insert the positive end of the battery first to seat it in place in its compartment, then snap in the negative end. I would say that for the $20 I paid overall, it was worth it and a decent value. I got what I expected because to make a clock like it, the sawblade costs at least $20 let alone all the labor to paint the face, find the clock motor, and get the right hands.

It was not a very expensive clock so I wasn't expecting much but it was almost impossible to get the AA battery installed because the lower part of the battery case is curved instead of squared off and the battery hade to be forced in.

Work shop clock looks good I didn’t look at the size before ordering little smaller than I thought but that’s my fault still a lovely clock

Does not keep proper time even with a new AA battery.

Absolutely love this clock, my dad had it as a Christmas present and we have already put it up!Only giving 3 stars however as I managed to cut myself on the blade as they are EXTREMELY sharp, so keep away from small children
