Works perfectly.
Bright light. Looks nice, although mine came with some small smudge spots that wont just rub off. Might need to use something to get it out. But its not a big deal at all. Fun to use and the click on and off and momentary feel easy to use. Very simple to install, didn’t even need instructions. It comes with rail adapters to be able to move the light closer or farther depending on your gun and how you want it to feel. Works fantastic for the price, 10/10 :)

Pretty darn nice for an early effort,
I realize that “for an early effort” disclaimer sounds kind of bad but there is only one feature that I need to see in action over time to know how good it is. Read on...Nice to see that the Smith&Wesson decided to add to the Crimson Trace lineup after acquiring it. Scopes, RDS’s and weapons lights are now in the catalog (if they were there before, I was only aware of their laser sights). This light fits me perfectly. Every light manufacturer wants to squeeze every lumen out of their lights, whether real or...Er...”exaggerated”. But I have found that I need to stay at that 200 lumen mark, especially when turned on in the dark, to keep from having an ocular migraine starting up. It just wouldn’t do to lose one’s vision for 10-15 minutes during a gunfight. This guy is bright enough without being overwhelming. Great for indoor use. The battery housing is sturdy. The on/off switch is clever and easy to use but I wonder, just a little, how tough it is. How will it stand the test of time? We will see. As of now this is a darn nice light at a reasonable price. I’ll be getting more of these.

Good weapons light.
Works perfectly, easy on/off, and not crazy bright, but bright enough.

Value and quality match price
Ordered this on prime day sale. Wasn’t sure if I’d like having a light on my S&W M&P 2.0 9mm compact, so I went with the CR Railmaster because of its price. Definitely a middle of the road option, and its price matches it quality.Pros-- Fits the bottom pic rail nicely. Tight tolerance with the lug fastener with no movement after 200rds.- Brightness is sufficient. 200 lumens is an accurate description and it’s range is 50-100ft in my experience.- it’s weight counterbalanced muzzle rise and made for easier target acquisition and returns- With normal hand sizes, it’s easy to turn on and off in both ready and firing positions.- Ambidextrous power buttons are convenient without tooling.- CT offers a ‘Batteries for Life’ program where after registering your light, they’ll send you a replacement battery once a year for the life of the light. Never heard of this before and I like it! The process to register was simple.Cons-- Battery is large and heavy compared to more expensive options. For smaller pistols or single-stack EDCs, the weight of this light will throw off the bore axis.- it seems this is only available in one color scheme, black.- The power buttons are unsupported towards the trigger guard and are made of thin plastic. No issues yet, but concerns a about the durability of the switches.Overall, I’m satisfied with the CT Railmaster. For the price point, you can expect a functional light that fits a full size handgun, and performs to realistic expectation. I would caution compact handgun owners from purchasing this model for sizing concerns, but am a fan of the Crimson Trace Brand. Even if I do upgrade the light in my S&W, I’ll be holding onto this light!

Great
Great product, feels high quality. Unfortunately, too big for Ruger SR-22, mounts but sticks out too much, had to return. It'd be great to have a list of compatible pistols in the description.

Simple, Bright and Ambi-capable
I'm a lefty and finding firearm related products that work well for me is always a challenge. This CT CMR 209 is being used on a pepper ball launcher (less than lethal option) so I wanted something that could light up a potential target as the efficacy of the launcher is only up to about 60'. I can't hit what I can't see. Plus, the 200 lumens may momentarily distract an aggressor when used, which can be an advantage for me, if only for a second or two.The light fits my needs but I don't know how well it would work mounted on a real firearm (taking into condsieration the greater shock from recoil) but I'd recommend it since it fit very well on the accessory rail under the barrel of my device. The activation buttons only require very light pressure and there's an option to press once and have the light stay on when your finger is removed, or to tap and hold the button to get light. Once your finger is lifted., the light will go off.I own a CT laser for a real pistol and it has flawlessly operated for many years. I'd buy this again or another of their light/laser products for other applications, if needed.

Works OK but significant flaw
It's light weight, easy to mount and use, brightness is adequate for use inside the home, and doesn't costs much. But a major flaw is how easy it is to activate. The switch is TOO easy to activate. Mine came on a lot, when putting into a soft pistol case and even when laying it down sometimes.

Will Work on Ruger PC carbine, and that's what I needed.
I recently purchased a Ruger PC carbine for my daughter. I had seen some people saying that the built in rail sections on the front of the PCs are not long enough to allow all lights to work and that the swivel stud got in the way of some lights. This light works great on the PC. It is nothing fancy and is what it is, a basic weapon light. Simple on and off. I like this for my daughter. I was disappointed that this light would not mount on my G34. Guess there is another adapter you have to purchase. However this light has to be bolted to the rail. I honestly was surprised by this cause my other lights have quick release levers. Again my main point to buying this light was for that one rifle, so not to upset about that. And if I want to move it to another rifle I can. Would not recommend this for pistols, unless you have a holster that will accommodate it. It's just to much of a Hassel to take on and off. I trust the crimson trace brand they make great accessories. This light is no exception. Just remember this is a basic light, no extras, but it will do what it's built to do.
