Fortnum & Mason, Explorers' Biscuit Selection Tin, 500g

Not for me but my 79 Yr old mum loved it for mother's day. She said the biscuits were crunchy but that's ok as she has all her own teeth!

Oh My! The biscuits in this tin are glorious. The flavours, wow! Small double chocolate bites that were impossible to resist taking a second or third of; the earl grey biscuits that were a surprise and a delight, the nutty ones and the honey infused one, the huge chocolate covered thing that I did not get to taste - all of them - were each so good that the tin was emptied in record time. The deduction or a star (I would have given 4 and a half stars if it were possible) was because, for the cost of the tin, there were perhaps not quite enough biscuits. The tin contained two internal plastic trays, separately wrapped so you could, in theory, open only one at a time . . in theory LOL. Every member of my family muttered something about ‘less packaging in favour of one more layer of biscuits’ however I doubt another row could have been squeezed in. The packaging protected the biscuits (some quite fine) through delivery by Amazon and on a flight from the UK to Europe. I cannot fault the tin or its contents and will definitely buy again but it will have to be a sometime treat not a weekly pleasure. I will however be telling all my friends about this box of delights and reminding them before every birthday, special occasion and afternoon tea get together I have from now on.

Bought this as a Birthday present for a biscuit lover, but he was less than impressed. Think you pay for the name, the biscuits were nothing special
