Durian smells - yes, and this smells like durian.Some of the reviews saying the smell is awful-i don't think they ever smelled FRESH durian.And the taste is good. It tastes like durian but of course it's been dried so it loses some of the freshness.Eating it right out of the bag is very b=nice, it will eventually melt in your mouth.BUT if you take a sip of water when you put the dry durian in your mouth, that fresh taste comes alive.Since I can't get fresh durian here, not even the ones sprayed or soaked in bleach water to remove the smell, I will continue to buy this.The sulphur smell is strong and pungent just like fresh durian but the flavor is there too. You know what you are eating without looking at the bag.

This was my first ever exposure to durian and I love it! I know it probably is quite different than fresh fruit but I could definitely taste the somewhat unusual flavor that some people don't like. I want to try the real thing even more after trying this freeze dried product.

Too dry and spongy not good taste

It is a wonderful snack and ridiculously expensive for the quantity. You get a handful of durian for almost $15!! This is my first bag and first brand that I am trying. I see many other brands on Amazon. I may look for a little more affordable brand after this.I gave an overall rating of 4 because of its price.

Never had it fresh this was all I could find. I liked it way better then expected. The flavor is unlike anything I've ever tasted sweet but kinda funky in a weird way. Really glad I tried. Now I want a fresh one even more
