Purchased this flow switch to replace an inoperative Hayward salt cell flow switch. I chose this switch based on prior reviews and competitive price. Received the new flow switch via FedEx two days after ordering as promised. I installed it the next morning. Installation was very easy taking about 15 minutes (rounding up). The new switch comes with instructions which were easy to follow. As mentioned in the product description, the new switch comes pre-wrapped with thread tape. Just take your time, don't over-tighten, and make sure the directional arrow matches the direction of flow. Worked great on start-up. Time will tell on the longevity of the switch. I'm very happy so far.

This product is absolute JUNK~ Easy install that's about it. Once installed, the flow switch worked for two days, then went out again. This was the second switch purchased from amazon. First one didn't work out of the box. DO NOT BUY. Spend the extra money and purchase the factory switch from Hayward. Between the two switches, Im over what I would have paid for just buying the factory switch from the beginning.

The water in my pool started to look funny the other day and found that my Aqua Rite (Hayward) salt system was displaying no water flow on the panel (Who knows for how long). I tried different things including inspecting the existing water flow switch by removing it from the pipe and also checking that in fact there was water flowing in the system. I found no issues.I immediately suspected that the water flow switch was bad as it was the original one from 2005 when we installed the pool salt system. I called the pool store here in my city to inquire about price and availability of a new Water Flow switch. The store that I called is not the regular mom and pop store. It is a large corporation and they have stores in most cities here in California and Arizona (Maybe in other states also). They are probably National but anyway. I called the nearest store to my house gave them the name of my salt water panel and description of the part I wanted. The employee that answered the phone appeared not happy that I called and told me that they didn't sell the part. I told him that it was a hayward part (They sell Hayward pool equipment) but no he told me no they couldn't order it.I Called another of their stores (Same chain) in a neighboring city and found the employee that answered the phone very friendly and told me that yes they could order the part for me and it would cost me $210.00 dollars shipped with a 1 week delivery date. I politely thanked him and hanged up the phone.That same part that they were trying to sell me for $210.00 was $33.70 here on Amazon + Tax + 1 day shipping for a total of $40.39.How in the world can these brick and mortar stores survive with charging these ridiculous prices ?I am very happy with this product. Upon receiving it I installed it on my pool system (1 minute) and after a few seconds the salt system panel started showing water flow again. As easy as that. Highly recommended.

I was unimpressed when this item arrived. It came in a soft envelope...I would have preferred a box given that it is a piece of electrical equipment. It had a piece of cardboard wrapped around the most sensitive part, but a box would have been better. It's a fairly straightforward installation, but I had several problems. It comes with one wrap of Teflon tape. When I screwed it in, water leaked out everywhere. I had to go to the store and buy more Teflon tape to make it a snug fit. Once installed, it didn't work. I tried several resets of the main computer, but no luck. I finally removed the sensor, pulgged the hole, and manually held it closed with the pump running. It worked. So I reinstalled it in the pipe and reenergized the system. It works. Hopefully it will keep working, but I'm nervous since the install went so poorly.

I've had my pool for 7 years and the flow control light came on solid and would not go out. I pulled the old one and leaned it, making sure the submerged portion of the switch was not damaged, but after re-inserting it still did not work. I called Hayward and their tech support was very helpful. The Hayward technician was very confident that I needed to replace the switch. I opted for standard super-saver shipping. My part shipped the next business and I received it within three days. It was well packed in a padded soft package inside a sturdy Amazon box. 10 minutes to replace the part and I was up and running again. The package included instructions as well. This was considerably cheaper than purchasing locally. I would recommend this vendor!

My Hayward pool system had a "no flow" fail message on the screen... which keeps the chlorine cell from operating. Upon removal and inspection, the flow switch (located just downstream from the chlorine cell) had a broken reed (thin piece of metal).This replacement flow switch looks better than the original. It had plenty of Teflon tape on the the threads... even had to unwrap some before installing. Pay attention to the flow arrow when installingSolid replacement unit and the system is back to normal operation.

I bought this after the Hayward switch went bad after 5 years, Florida pool and runs everyday. But very unwilling to spend what hayward wanted for a switch. we will see how long this lasts , it was easy to put in , no leaks

My pool company wanted to charge me much more for the part so I was very happy to find the replacement part on Amazon. Great service and my pool is working perfectly now.Would definitely buy again from this seller

Worked fine for 3 days than broked. The original part lasted 3 years.

The metal paddle was too bent so it never activated, I had to bend it back a bit, then it would never stops. If the water drops and the cell is active it can create serious damage to the cell and can even explode or create toxic chlorine fume. This product is definitely not from hayward's and can be potentially dangerous.

Pricey for such a simple switch but this was the cheapest I could find online that was stated as Hayward original part. Refer to pictures - I can confirm this is the exact same switch I had installed with my original pool purchase 10+ years ago. Hopefully this part will last as long again. Super easy installation and solved my no flow error immediately once installed. The plumbers tape is even pre-applied from the factory. Recommended. Quick delivery (Prime) and easy purchase from seller.
