Works great & cheaper than Miracle Gro Moisture Crystals.
Works exactly like the Miracle Gro bags you can purchase, yet a lot cheaper. I saved the bag from the Miracle Gro moisture crystals, so I know how much to use per size pot or square feet of garden space. This did not come with instructions. I simply mix in with my bottom third of potting mix in my pots to be planted, then add more mix & plant. Reduces watering by half at least! Crystals swell up with water, & when used toward bottom third of pots, roots will grow deep. Crystals supply the water the roots need.Lessons I've learned from previous years...* Does not work after plants have been planted & you want to stick some in a pencil hole to supply moisture. Crystals swell up & out of hole, & out of pot. Looks like clear gelatin.*Does not work when mixed in top third of mix. Same reason. When excessive rainfall occurs, it will surface. Defeating the purpose.*Does not work when transplanting cells of seedlings into garden, separately infusing a little into the holes. Product swells up & pushes seedling plugs up out of holes.

and I love that I don't have to waste time (or precious ...
I've used this for about 5 years now, and I love that I don't have to waste time (or precious water) watering my plants. Even in the summer, I can go a couple of days without watering, as long as I give them a good long soaking first. I use this on my potted plants, bulbs and even trees! It works pretty well, and you can mix some fertilizer with the water for slow release over time. There are similar products on Amazon, but this packaging and size is the best deal I've found so far.

Works Just Like The More Expensive Brands
This is the gel that is places in soil to help keep the soil moist for plants in containers. This is also used in weddings for centerpieces in clear containers by adding food coloring to make the gel match the wedding colors. You get a LOT in this bag.It looks like little rice pellets and when placed in water, turns into something that looks like clear jello which keeps the soil moist for plants.I keep the bag in a coffee can once it is opened.I add about 1 tsp of the "rice" pellets to the soil in the bottom third of the container and then fill the rest of the container with regular soil. The first time that I used it, I let the crystals absorb the water so that I could figure out how much of the gel to use in the dirt because I tend to use too much when it just looks like tiny pieces of rice. :)These along with some inverted wine or beer bottles of water really helps in the Texas summer heat to keep plants looking good without having to water all of the time and for less than the name brands.

Great price.Great product.
These water absorbing pellets are a great value. They’re exactly like any others I’ve bought for garden use, but this was the best price for the amount I needed. I’d definitely buy this brand again if I need more.

Keep Soil Moist
Mixes easily in the dirt. Keeps moisture in so the roots get a continuous drink. A little goes a long way!

Great stuff at a fair price
Nicely packaged and arrived FAST. I tested the product- a 1/2 ts dry in a 1/2 cup of water. Next day that had grown 10-fold. I like this product because you sprinkle it in your potting mix dry. Once the plant is watered the 'soil moist' expands.Fast and easy. Will buy more.

Amazing!
I wish I'd known about this long ago. The little sand particles swell up huge, full of water! So be aware when you're blending it in to your soil mixture and filling a pot to leave plenty of room for this expansion. Otherwise your pot will spill over like mine did.
