This book will be handed down for generations in our family
A few years ago, I promised my 2 year old a book if he took a nap. (A silly promise, but I was desperate and needed him to nap). After his nap, I drove him down to a local thrift store and we searched through the books. We came across What We'll Build and he insisted on getting it. I had never heard of the book before and was a little hesitant but said sure, why not?Our day turned pretty busy between running more errands and dinner. Finally at bed time, we cuddled up and read this book. By the middle of the book, I started tearing up. It was absolutely beautiful. The concept was so simple but so true to what parenthood and childhood really is. This pictures are whimsical and huge.It quickly became our favorite bedtime book, he constantly picked it out to read. 2 years later, it's still our favorite.I now purchase this book for every baby shower I attend. This book should be a classic. It's so beautiful. Thank you to the author for putting this art into the world! We'll seriously hand this book down for many generations.

Beautiful book
I love these stories, my baby likes them too but he is still to little to don't want to brake the sheets so I will save it when he grows up a little, my baby is now 1 year old, liked the colors but a lot of energy to just observe them, want to touch them too with all his strenght.

Beautiful story and images
I always enjoy Oliver Jeffers books... this one made me tear up at the beauty of the sentiment. Perfect for reading with your little ones. My 5- and 7-year-old both love it, too.

A bit "easier" and "younger" than "Here We Are"
I expected this to be a good book to follow "Here We Are" but I have to admit, it's a bit more simplistic and the images are less packed - so while the kids like the book, it doesn't have the WOW effect that "Here We Are" has.Don't get me wrong, it's a really good book, but compared to some of the others we have by Oliver Jeffers, it's not the first one the kids pull off the shelf.Sweet story about a girl and her dad and the things they build together. Heartwarming.
