Decent putty knife
The blade on this putty knife was surprising strong and thick. The flexibility is not affected by the thickness it's just a better quality steel. I use this knife to spread fire caulking and it does a great job at it. I haven't used the knife to hammer anything yet but I think this putty knife could take some heavy blows.

Good knife, just clean it IMMEDIATELY after use
Good knife if you are meticulous with it.I failed to clean it right away while working on a wall and by the time I got to it 90 minutes later, it was already ruined by rust. I'd give it 3.5 stars if I could, but rating it 3 stars as the closest call. It did do a very good job as a joint knife with a very nice amount of flex and the 3" size is great for detailed work. It's not rated as a stainless knife so I did expect corrosion if I didn't clean it after use, I just didn't realize it meant drop everything you're doing to clean it or it's too late. It was 5 minute mud, maybe the quick reaction of the mud sped up the corrosion of the metal, no idea.Either way, I'm not going to interrupt working on a wall to go clean the knife. If it can't survive being dirty for an hour or so until I'm done, it's just not going to do it for me.
