Fingerpower - Primer Level (Schaum Publications Fingerpower(R)) - Piano Sheet Music Book

Easy to understand

Though I get a piano teacher's discount through a music store I ordered this and another piano book saving me a rather distant trip to the music store. So pricing was compatible.

As a piano teacher for almost 40 years now, I use the Finger Power books in addition to any piano curriculum a student is using. I sometimes start students at a lower level -- just to get them used to the format. But my goal is always to work them into Level 4 as soon as possible because it brings great results when practiced with good technic. I still go through the Level 4 book miyself from time to time, just to brush up on my skills! It's a game changer for many students. "Power under control" . . . good technic makes all the difference in the world.

I love the simplicity and straight forward learning style for the Schaum series. I have been teaching piano for 20 years, and have found that students learn and progress well and under this method.

I've used the other Fingerpower series of books for my piano students with great success. This Primer Level is perfect for the very youngest student and is a good introduction for finger exercises leading to the next level of difficulty. I recommend it for the exercise beginning and all students need when learning to play the piano.

Me parece un método bueno para iniciar el aprendizaje del piano con la lectura de las notas en las dos claves, ya que los ejercicios que vienen son cortos y va aumentando de manera progresiva las notas. Me gustó para ponérselos a mis alumnos principiantes. Este método tiene que ir de la mano de un maestro para guiar al alumno. Le pongo cuatro estrellas porque a pesar de ser un libro útil, sólo tiene ejercicios y no melodías que lo pueda hacer más atractivo para el alumno. Si lo recomiendo.
