I fully expect I that I will not know the true effectiveness of this device for 6 to 12 months, however, after about 4 weeks I am amazed to see that any previous brownness is now almost pure white. This has to be a good sign while no other external treatment has produced anywhere near this response in 6 months, let alone 4 weeks. Compared to the cost of some other treatments, I would highly recommend trying this device for at least a couple of months. (Before using the device I filed my nails down as much as possible and trimmed everything I could, to allow the light better penetration through the nails i.e. the fungus is between the nail and the nail bed. I will continue to file and trim as necessary, every 2 to 3 weeks or so. I also now dry my nails and toes thoroughly with a hairdryer after showering etc).
