Mega Marbles - MONARCH BUTTERFLY MARBLES NET (1 Shooter Marble, 24 Player Marbles)

Quite a lot of variation from one bag to the next! The marbles from the first bag of Monarch Butterflies that I bought are dark reddish orange and could be mistaken for the "Horse" kind of Mega Marbles except for the super-reflective iridescent finish. They're a lot prettier than those I got in the next two bags, which are a lighter shade of orange have a lot less black and white on them overall. There's a very noticeable difference in the shininess of the finish between the marbles in these two bags, too. The lack of uniformity wouldn't be a drawback at all if it didn't mean some sets are far more attractive than others and it's luck of the draw when you can't actually see the marbles you're buying beforehand.

These MONARCH BUTTERFLY MARBLES from Mega Marbles are some of the prettiest glass marbles I've ever seen. They have an opaque orange base with swirls of white and black opaque glass on the surface of each marble. Then they are iridized, yielding an extremely shiny, reflective surface. The colors do indeed mimic those of a real Monarch butterfly, though the markings are softer and less well-defined. If you decide to decorate with these marbles and need several pounds' worth (that is, hundreds of them), the logical thing to do is find a supplier who sells them in bulk.

It's marble month at the schools. I bought these for some kids..... they loved them. Just what I expected

Just needed a big marble(shooter) for something. Worked perfectly. Don't know how these compare to other marbles.

Colors were really a blur, not distinctive or crisp. Fuzzy dull orange marbles.
