The Very Best Of Nicolette Larson

This is a great little collection that features a wide variety of styles. If you haven't heard the title track "A Lotta Love" in a while, it's a pretty phenomenal song - the vocal, arrangement, sax and flute solos are all pitch-perfect. Her version of Sam Cooke's "You Send Me" is very listenable, and she covers some serious country music flavor with Emmylou Harris in "Hello Stranger" and also with Steve Goodman on "The One that Got Away." Her version of "Dancin' Jones" also has some kick to it, and "Rhumba Girl" is kind of funky and fun. When it comes to ballads, she really hits a pair of home runs: the duet "Let Me Go Love" with Michael McDonald and "Fool Me Again" by Bacharach are both standout performances and very captivating songs. So glad that Rhino put this group of songs together - it made me nostalgic for the late 70's/ turn of the 80's!

Nicolette Larson left us to early in her career. she was and is a great musicians with many songs under her belt.a great singer and songwriter of her time.she will always be remembered for her song lotta love.

Ias a collaborator with others and on her solo albums, Nicolette always gave her best, as this compilation shows.we have lost a truly great talent. But grateful for this album.

Su carrera no terminó de despegar del todo a pesar de temas de indudable calidad. Y además con apenas 45 años nos dejó tras una grave enfermedad que frustró la evolución de la artista.
