The Book of Lies: Oversized Keep Silence Edition

Great book amazing quality

I'm a sucker for well-made books and that's why I thought this was going to be a great addition to my library. Unfortunately the cover is made of paper and the faceplate is poorly printed. Imitation leather or even cloth would be at least worth the price. The rest of the book's pages appear to be zoomed in photocopies from the original, some obviously pixelated.Crowley's commentary is not included. Many other collections of the author's work contain this same text, along with his accompanying notes, at more affordable prices. However, I will say that for mass distribution this is good.

I have been very pleased with previous volumes from Keep Silence and was glad to see The Book of Lies (Liber 333) added to their list of volumes. I purchased both the paperback and oversize hardback editions. The print is remarkably clear given this is from scans of the 1913 original edition. High quality paper, binding, and covers mean these will last for many years. Scott Wilde does a fine job reproducing these volumes and I look forward to adding more to my library.

This is by far my favorite book in my Crowley collection. Beautiful edition. I treasure it.

The Book of Lies is a masterful work of Thelemic mysticism and is an essential read for any student of Thelema. Its one-page chapters are all entrenched deeply in the symbolism of Kabbalah, Gematria and concepts of which I must currently struggle to comprehend in concept. It is funny, engaging, bizarre and fascinating, and worthy of long-term study no matter where one is on the path of magickal scholarship.This Keep Silence / Horizon Lodge edition is an outstanding reproduction of the first edition. The pages are high quality, easy to read, and the whole book is very tactile and beautiful. Keep Silence do wonderful work and I also soon after purchased their editions of ΘΕΛΗΜΑ (seen alongside in my photo; available on their Etsy page) after immediately gaining faith in their quality.A highly recommended book all-round!

What can I say. The book is beautiful. But the content is utter drool. The man is clearly an idiot. I don’t know why he became so infamous. It’s full of made up junk.
