Q: Does it have the brand name Farberware printed on the body of the kettle?

Yes, it is on the top of the lid

Q: does the lid come off completely?

Yes. I used a drop of cooking oil around the lid because it was difficult to remove. The one for the pouring spout lifts up, but does not come off.

Q: Can you take off the farberware logo? Or is it stuck on? I see the logo on the teapot

I just got the Luna model of water kettle(still farberware), and it does look like the Farberware logo will come off, and pretty easily at that. I would assume that it is probably slapped on there the same on most the kettles.
