I'd call myself a wiring beginner but when my favorite antique lamp started acting "off" I knew it was time to rewire. The hardware matched perfectly to the actual antique metal hardware that stayed on my lamp. I only used the socket and wire from this kit but the instructions were amazing and helped me replace the parts that needed to be replaced. I followed the directions, and the lamp works like it's brand new. This kit was a great value. **Edit to add** since writing this, I have rewired two more antique lamps after purchasing the same kit. It's so simple to fix and I feel much more safe with updated wiring.

I inherited my grandmother’s house and all her possessions. In digging through the attic I found this cypress knee lamp my great great uncle had made in 1957. Being that it had been in the attic for 42 Texas summers, I decided instead of plugging in I would just buy a new wiring kit for it. I’ve never wired a lamp before but this kit made it super easy! Since the old wiring was so brittle and falling apart I just cut the wires and pulled it all out. I followed the directions provided, and sure enough, it works great! Got a GE LED 60 watt bulb in it, which looks similar to an Edison bulb, and bought a new lamp shade from Lowe’s and it turned out beautiful!It’s been working great for a couple of months with no issues

This kit is a solid choice and seems to be made of quality material.I made a Miller High Life bottle into a lamp...please don’t judge, I know say what you will but it’s the Champagne of Beers and a welcome change from the snooty world of craft beer.That being said I had to make one modification to make the project work, and that was taking a cork from a no doubt cheap wine bottle that I drank and drill a hole in it...see pic for details. The piece of cork gave me the chance to secure the light socket to the bottle securely; without it, i would have to tape or think of another way to make sure the light socket didn’t wobble.There are plenty of fittings in the kit...I would imagine if it came with some sort of pre drilled rubber stopper that would work w a wine bottle or in my case, a Miller High Life bottle.The directions are clear as to what side of the plug is the hot and neutral side...follow the directions carefully. Also, remember to tie that underwriters knot in the wire, again, the directions provided to a nice job explaining it .Good luck with your project, be safe, and cheers.

I had purchased this lamp in a second hand shop 13 years ago. I love the old bedside lamp but it needed a bit of antiquing. The switch had been moved to the cord. I was able to put the switch back up under the bulb where it needed to be and give the old dear a sweet face lift. She looks marvelous now and it was so easy to do. Thank you!

Had a lap that the dogs had destroyed the cord on. I ordered this kit and it was really easy for me to replace the old one with this kit. Now my lap is as good as new.

Perfect! Clear directions, easy to do and relatively inexpensive. I had a beautiful antique cut lead CRYSTAL lamp that the switch broke. I was far too attached to it just get rid of it and did not want the expense of taking it in for the repair. I saw this and thought "Why not?" My beautiful antique is now lighting up my living room once again and it's better than it ever was. In total it took about 1/2 an hour to reassemble the lamp with the new fittings. I'm so glad I found this! I have a beautiful wine bottle I've been wanting to do something with, now I know exactly what to do. Great product, quick delivery, good directions if you are DIY inclined and they make sure you have every part you might possibly need. I might just have a new hobby.

I wanted to replace the lamps in my bedroom. I found a pair of the perfect height on the FaceBook Market. They were old and ugly in color, but cheap! Some Chalk paint solved the color and these made re-wiring them easy peasy! They now look great and with my Alexa bulbs, they are perfect.

Seems over priced. makes me very reluctant to do home projects. they did work. and everything was included. but again. for the price I should of went to good will and just bought a lamp and stripped it down.

This worked great. Super easy to change out the old socket not working. Only thing is it is a bit loose in the socket once set in.

The kit was exactly as described and easy to assemble. Was able to rewire a lamp within 20 minutes.

I purchased two kits to repair two table lamps. The kit included everything I needed. The instructions were very clear and easy to follow. Even with my lack of experience, I was able to easily rewire the lamps. I am enjoying my "refreshed" lamps and feeling very proud that I was able to do this project myself. I did contact the seller and appreciated their prompt response and attention.

The two knurled nuts are missing, and they're challenging to find locally and expensive to source from abroad. Super disappointing experience.
