Don't buy this paint!
I just got this underpainting white yesterday and started a new oil painting with it. This paint is so thick and gummy it won't hardly spread. Even after thinning it down it was still hard to paint with. I have used Winsor & Newton brand and theirs is creamy and wonderful, I just can't find it in the larger size tube. I will never buy the Grumbacher MG brand again. It was very disappointing! And to top it off, I can't return it and get my money back!

Underpainting pait.
Been using MG for years. Yes, like mentioned in the first review, this paint is thick and sticky. It's an underpainting paint, put it where you will have a lot of light in your painting and work it in as you paint (some of the masters used this method).

This paint sets up very quickly!!! Dry to the touch in an hour or two.wonderful for starting a painting and then continuing for the rest of the day.
