It works but not nearly as good as the original. The tailgate comes down fast but not as fast as when the part was broken.

Bought this December 2021. It’s July 2022 and the bushing is broken again.

I have no idea how this little piece of plastic could cost $ 40 but ot worked

Looks like exact replacement part, but tailgate still slams down when opening.

Install is super easy, and done in less than 1 minute.My OEM clip failed, and the slow-assist on my 2015 GMC Denali stopped working as a result. Swapping this unit in works, but the rate of fall is noticeably faster - no more just opening the gate and letting it fall without a bang! For the price, I expected better performance.Expensive little piece, hope it holds up.

This product fit my 2014 4x4 chevy Silverado perfectly. It slows the close, but at about twice the speed as the original piece. Tail gate doesn't slam, but is not a slow gental open as it was new. Still a good buy, but kind of expensive for what it is. I would, however buy it again.

My bushing was broken when I bought my 2014 GMC Sierra. Did so research and found it is a common problem. Ordered this as a replacement and found out my tailgate had the same flaw as some of the ones I read about. The bushing was tight when I tried to put it on. Looked at the mounting area and saw that it was not the perfect shape of the bushing. Bent the mounting area and the bushing fit just fine. Have had no problems yet with it breaking. Seems pretty durable, maybe even more than the OEM one I took off.

I installed this and bushing because my tailgate was dropping faster than it did when it was new. This one only lasted a month. I'm very disappointed. Definitely not worth the money.

Fitment is perfect, to people complaining it broke sooner than expected, you might want to inspect properly the metal U shaped part and make sure it is not deformed.Only thing i can complain; the little tab that hold the bushing was already broken when we unpackaged it but it works as intended anyway, let just hope it did not weaken it.

Quand je l’ai acheté en septembre 2020 le prix était de 23$, aujourd’hui lors de mon évaluation, le prix est autour de 88$. Pourquoi ?? Qualité médiocre, après 8-9 mois d’usure il est rendu inutile, plastique fendu, mon enfant qui avait l’habitude de l’ouverture douce et facile l’a reçu sur la tête. Est-ce que tout les bague de hayon son mal conçu comme ça je ne sais pas j’en essaye un autre

Works well and is almost half the price that the dealership wanted for $2.00 worth of a plastic part. Also fitted well in my 2015 Silverado.

for my Chevy Silverado with the tailgate assist, fits great, 1 min. to change, tailgate lowers slowly like it should.

I have a 2016 GMC Sierra 1500 and What a great little product. Beats the stock part by a mile and took all of 25 seconds to install. Highly recommend this part !!
