It reminds me why I prefer Alpine! I wouldn't buy another one of these.
It comes with lots of promise and a Mickey Mouse DAB aerial to stick on the windscreen which got discarded in favour of a real one! I was particularly interested in the Alexa function which attracted me to this model, as Alpine have no single DIN radios in their current range. The cons...The first disappointment was finding that Standby was one of the sources, rather than separate. Very annoying it it to have to wait for it to turn off and back on as you go through the sources. There is also a strange delay as each source seems to appear twice. In order to get into the setup menu, it has to be in standby.Next issue is the hands free calling. There is no ring tone on incoming calls, just a flashing green panel.DAB, now that really is a challenge! The Alpine and Pioneer radios load up the station list and then it is one button press to select SERVICE, before scrolling to the station list. This radio loads the list, but when scrolling through, it seems to scan each multiplex before then scrolling through the stations on it. Then it does the same for the next multiplex etc, etc. Hopefully once the presets are loaded, that shouldn't be required, but what a faff!SWC is supposed to be something of a standard and works on resistances applied on two lines of a 3.5mm plug. Kenwood have dropped the infra red remote and now they have also dropped SWC standard control, in favour of their own propriety adapter which no doubt is car specific too.I had an Alpine microphone in the car with the same plug. As you can guess, they are not compatible! Probably tip and ring swapped, so I could have adapted it if I had thought about it before installation. The Alexa function was disappointing but that isn't a fault of the radio. It uses the mobile data and requires the Alexa app running and displayed with its screen lit up, or it loses connection. I'm not sure how that is useable on the move, as the screen will be lit all the time and will require constant power too. I am wondering if it would work with Alexa Auto now.The display is a bit gaudy, with large buttons on the left all lit up. That will be distracting at night, even set to darkest red.Pros...It seems to be more sensitive on DAB than the Alpine CDE-205DAB. Scala Radio is difficult in my driveway, but this was still receiving in the garage.I was very pleased to find that the memory for settings is non volatile. That means that it remembers Bluetooth devices and display settings through a power down. There is a simple to find factory reset if required. This is how all radios should be.The interconnect cable is fairly short and neat, unlike the Alpine which has far too much cable.Audio quality seems OK.I like the six preset buttons which the Pioneer doesn't have.Initial setup is easy, it offers default settings including dumping the demo mode. Most radios hide that switch. The manual supplied seems to be printed on very poor paper, probably recycled. However that isn't a complaint as it can still be read, even if the information within is sparse. Every page refers you to a website for information. If you look carefully there, you can find the ACTUAL manual for download, in which you will find how to set auto answer etc.

Consigliato
Consigliato.

Preis Leistung sehr gut
