WEN 300-Pound Capacity Chrome-Plated Shop Bar Stool

I feel as though the people reviewing this product negatively as having poor hardware and/or fitment issues, are simply assembling it poorly.1) Loosely install all the leg hardware. Yes, the legs/rings may not be perfectly shaped, but there's plenty of slop in the hardware to make up for this (By the other reviews I was expecting to need ratchet straps and/or spreader bars to get this thing to go... definitely not the case).2) Use a proper sized phillips head screw driver JUST to hold the one side, and then use a 10mm rachet to tighten the lock nut. You should never be trying to torque the phillips head side when putting a bolt through a nylock nut (really any nut). I would also recommend not tightening every thing fully all at once. Work your way around, bringing in each nut a little at a time, making several passes. The hardware in this is plenty strong, and it's merely holding pieces in place. There's very little, if any, sheer stress in this design.The whole assembly took me maybe 10 minutes, it's solid as a rock, swivels nicely, and for the price, it's a great value.

I absolutely love this stool! I bought it for my shop so that I could work on projects on the bench. When the box arrived, it was in perfect condition. The contents were very nicely packaged, and all of the hardware was included. Everything bolted together without any issues at all, and the swivel seat was a great bonus. I rarely ever post reviews on products, but I am very happy with this item, its quality, and the value for my dollar. I would/will buy this item again!

I like this stool. I wasn't expecting much after reading some of the less then stellar review on this item but it was easy to put together, bolts weren't perfect but they secure the legs/seat tightly. I'm not sure how long the seat cover will last as it's vinyl which tends to crack over time but for the price, provides exactly the functionality I was looking for.

I don’t usually write reviews but i thought i help someone who are interested in buying this. This is pretty good stool for the price! Seat is Very comfortable and its solid. Instruction is pretty bad and dont help much at all but its not a rocket science to put back together. Pretty easy to assemble. Only reason why i didnt give 5 stars is because the hardware that came with is are junks! Made in cheap meterial it strips with few turns! The legs needs to be pulled with screws but most likely all the screws that came with it are not strong enough to do so. But i used my own heavy duty hardware and it is now perfect!! So be aware or be prepare to buy seperate hardware from local hardware store and toss the hardware that came with the stool. Anyway overall im happy with price and the product.

These stools are strong and sturdy. We bought two and only encountered one issue with the holes not lining up for the bolt on one pole, of one of the stools. After the stool was assembled, minus that one bolt, it was not cosmetically or structurally noticeable, so we decided to keep it as it. In fact, the stools are so sturdy, unless you’re really looking hard to find the one bolt that is missing, you would not know it. We covered the semi-soft seat with the material and color we wanted and now have the look and quality of a 100+$ stool for 1/3 of the price. win-win with WEN!

These are kind of a pain in the butt to assemble, but once done, they are awesome. They key to assembly is to not tighten down any nuts/screws until you have all the parts loosely assembled. Then tighten everything down.

I purchased this for my garage workbench. You get what you pay for and I payed ~$28 shipped with Amazon Prime. The 1,2 and 3 star reviews are pretty much correct, the parts are poorly specked and do not line up during assembly, the hardware is of very low quality and many heads stripped with minimal torque, there is grinding marks visible under low quality chrome and the seat didn't have much padding. But what do you expect for $28. I needed a seat and didn't want spend much on one. You will need to spend more if you want a stool of higher quality. I am overall very satisfied with this purchase.Of note, I purchased this this a few days before I had a traumatic injury to my shoulder on my non dominant arm, it required surgery to repair. 2 days after surgery I assembled this, my left arm was restrained by a non rotator sling to the left side of my body only allowing motion of my wrist at my waist abs couldn't carry more than 10 lbs with that hand. Despite this limitation i assembled this stool in about 20 min. The parts fit together poorly but if you assembly it without tightening the hardware until the end it king of pulls itself together. Others reviewers seemed to have a more difficult time putting this together though. YMMV

Good price, quality ok. If you make the seat so it doesn't wobble, the legs wobble. If you make the legs so the stool doesn't wobble, seat is wobbly. Opted for leveling the legs instead of the seat. 2 nuts/bolts were missing. Welding isn't best quality, not smooth. For the price, it serves it's purpose, but if ordering another stool, would probably opt for a higher priced one and hope for better quality especially since the seat does have the company logo on it.

does not take up much space, and is easy to move around

I bought this stool to use in the garage/workshop. I am somewhat disabled and find it hard to sit, so that's not the fault of the stool. However, the stool does have a bit of a wobble as well. Overall, I'm quite happy with the stool for the price I paid.

Nice comfy stool, better than the one I paid more money for.
