unfortunately this the second pair I had to buy, not because there was anything wrong with the other pair, but because my son decided to snip sticks in the backyard with it. 😬 These knippers are sharp (my son can also attest to that) and accurate. I don’t have to worry about accidentally cutting my cuticles too deep. They are extremely high quality, here’s to hoping I don’t have to buy a third pair!!!

The only wish I have is for the handles to be 1/4 to 1/2 inch longer so they don't dig into my skin. This is a common design flaw in this industry in my opinion.

For the past 12 or 13 years, I've been using a pair of Revlon quarter-jaw cuticle nippers. I like them a lot, but thought they probably weren't as sharp as they were originally, so I decided to treat myself and get a pair of really good cuticle nippers. I first purchased Germanikure nippers, and although the little leather protective thing is great, I was disappointed with the nippers. The point is not sharp like it should be, or needs to be. So, I then ordered the Rui Smiths Ultra-Premium Cuticle Nippers, Professional, Stainless Steel, Spanish Handle, Rounded Box Joint, Matte Chrome Plated, Single Spring (4mm Jaw/Quarter Jaw). What I received was an obviously used pair of nippers. The inside of the plastic packaging was coated with an unknown powdery substance, and the little round "Protective Security Seal" on the back had been lifted and tucked under - a very obvious sign that the nippers were not new. I initiated a return to Amazon, to be replaced with the same, but new, item.I received the replacement nippers two days later. At first I thought I had received a new pair. Unfortunately, however, it soon became obvious that this pair, too, was not new. The little plastic protective cap, that is supposed to be ON the nippers was loose and by the side of the nippers. And, although the "Protective Security Seal" on the back of the package appeared at first glance to be undisturbed, a closer look showed that it had, indeed, been opened. Dirt had gotten stuck to the glue residue from the seal, and you could see that tiny bits of the seal itself had stayed stuck to the plastic underneath when the seal had been lifted/opened.I have not initiated a return to Amazon for the second set, as this particular "model" nipper is not currently available. Because I still have time, I will keep checking to see if it comes back in stock. If so, I will again ask for a replacement. If not, I will return for a refund ($46.90 plus tax). I did send a direct message to Rui Smiths via their Instagram account, but they have ignored it, which doesn't speak well for the company.

These nippers are great. They come sharp and ready to use. These are definitely tools that only professionals should use as they cut everything clean off. I like these nippers as well because their handles are straight unlike most nippers that are fanned out. I find it easier to use these than others as I have small hands and I can wrap my fingers around the nipper more easily. I’ve bought over 5 of these so that says a lot as if the quality was bad, I would have not purchased again.

They cut cleanly with awesome control. Hold up well. Definitely worth the price. I’ll never buy cheap ones again.

Honestly I thought paying this much for nippers was crazy.... but I’ve been following “The Meticulous Manicurist” on YouTube for a long time now. And I had actually purchased her nippers on her site. And they’re good as any others. Which is my exact point. These RUI ones??? Are totally unique. They have the smoothest cut. I actually can’t even explain it. I know nothing about metal and how you can tell what’s good or not. But with these I ACTUALLY can, they are just so good I honestly don’t even know what else to say lol. Just that they’re totally worth the price! You have to try them out for yourself to understand.

I purchased this to replace a cuticle nipper by Revlon that is 50 years old and was of the highest quality. It just needed sharpening but I figured I would start with a new one. I studied the reviews carefully and chose this cuticle nipper by RUI Smiths. It was the right choice. Very happy with this top-quality nipper and it is worth the money.

I like the fact that it is precise and sharp. Just be careful because it is really sharp and it may cut you. With practice, I am getting better at using it.
