I purchased these beads because the description stated they were made of copper. However, a jeweler told me that they are copper-plated brass. I have been wearing them for a few months and all of the copper has already worn off. I am very disappointed by the deceptive description.

They are beautiful. I don't have a go to heshi but I have worked in the beading business off and on for a looooong time. The quality regarding weight and shine are top notch for non precious metal. They have a tribal flavor and would look great with African or Indo-Asia inspired peices. The shine is not gaudy or cheap. The have some weight to them and will surely add to the drape and swing for a silk cord piece. They probably would not effect nylon or nylon covered wire. I recommend these for artisans who use materials not limited to precious/semi-precious.

I am using these to add color and shine to jewelry I am making for friends and family....also am planning on making a copper bracelet for myself...they are so well made and beautiful.

They're copper colored...not real copper. Might actually be copper plated, I can't say. But not solid copper. My mistake, should have been more thorough before buying. The hole is huge, maybe 4 or 5 mils. Hope this helps.

These are beautiful fairly heavy and no Way to crush them as the metal is thick but the holes are plenty big to get wire through. I use 26 gage and it could be much thicker

These 3mm copper cube beads are solid, not hollow. All edges are smoothe, I have not come across a single sharp edge. They are the perfect for the jewelry I make and a great value.

I'm DD, the jewelry maker in the family, and I simply ADORE these beautiful beads! They can easily stand alone as a necklace or bracelet, used with small (my choice is African turquoise) spacer beads, or used as spacers themselves. The possibilities are only limited by the imagination!
