The Carpetbagger Project: Secret Heroes

Far and away the best available book on the Carpetbagger Project. Excellent.
I've always wondered what my Dad did in WW2 because he wouldn't talk about it. All I knew was it had something to do with flying a B-24 for the OSS. He passed on without talking much about it, and it was only by luck that I stumbled ontothe term "Carpetbagger Project." None of the other books I've found on this topic come anywhere close to this one.Excellent photos, organization, writing, and editing. Every word carries its own weight on the page, and the stories told cover the topic well. Covers the scope and range of the program, beyond just France and Germany. Doesn't bog down into one person's "How I / He Won the War," like too many others. Buy this one, don't waste your money on the others.

If it wasn't real, you woulldn't believe it.
Awesome history of little-known daring-do pilots who dropped secret agents and supplies behind German lines in World War II. These flyers were the birth of Special Operations Aviation. Fantastic history -- if it wasn't real, you wouldn't believe it.

Flying in the dark
A lot of pictures with explanations but not a lot of information. This may be because the Carpetbagger project was such a secret.

Book
I was disappointed. It had too many pictures not enough info. The first book Carpetbaggers was much more informative. I did not purchase more as I did for the other book.
