Question 1

What are the dimensions of this item?

Accepted Answer

The ones I finally bought are just short of 2.5 inches. I am using them on a Herman Miller Aeron chair. The shorter glides allowed for the post at the bottom of the chair to still hit the floor. I returned them and the these work fine.

Question 2

I need something to "raise" the height of my dining chairs about 1". Would these work? The legs are wood, square-shaped.

Accepted Answer

These gliders are designed specifically to replace the wheels on an office chair. They lock into the mounting sleeve so as to prohibit the chair from rolling. If your kitchen chairs do not have wheels on them, I wouldn't recommend trying to modify these to fit since the amount of material you would have to remove to accommodate the bushing would significantly weaken the leg. I would try looking for actual chair risers that slip over the tip of the leg. Rubber tips that are attached to walking canes would also be another viable option since most of those have anywhere from 1/2" to 2" of solid rubber on the contact surface. Hope this helps.

Question 3

Two questions: 1) Would these work on a needlework stand and 2) does anyone know if they are available with a flat top? Thank you

Accepted Answer

Regarding question 1, we don't know which style your needlework stand is.
If the needlework stand installed the wheels originally, please measure the size of the stem. We are not sure whether it uses a screw thread or a C-ring thread stem.
Just in case, please measure it.

Regarding question 2, we don't know your meaning. Do you want to install the glides on flat top??

Question 4

Is there a way to remove these glides? I have the low version and would like to replace them with the high version, but the low glides seem stuck 😅

Accepted Answer

The glides should be able to be removed. I would suggest adding a little WD-40 to the shaft...
