I was looking for a replacement S-meter for an oddball sears 23 channel model 536.xxxxxx radio. I bought this meter blindly but was pleased to see it is going to work as a replacement. The only modification I have to do is the mounting method. The original had a place to screw it down on the faceplate but this one does not. I used electronic silicone (a few small dabs) to attach it without damaging anything. The meter works well and didn’t even need calibration. Great!

Direct replacement. Works as expected.

Installed in a 1980s vintage General Electric CB Model 3-5804D and had to install upside down to make the meter read L-R properly, but works perfectly!

Meter was cracked and unuseable. Indicator slammed all the way to full and stuck there. Shipping box and envelope showed no signs of damage. Waiting for either a replacement or refund. Will update if things work out.
