Quality grips. Better than expected!
Okay, so I got these in the mail a couple days ago. I wanted to wait until it was back day so I could put them to the test. A little background... I'm a former national & state record holding powerlifter. I'm also a huge lover of chalk. Well, last week I ran out of chalk and my buddy had a pair of these. Only they were the more expensive competitors brand. I immediately loved them as I could handle a lot more weight with lat pulldowns and rows. Also easier to use than lifting straps. Not that lifting straps are difficult to figure out though. So after using my buddies grips I came home and checked out Amazon and found these. Everything looked identical to the ones I used and these were a lot more affordable. So I went with them and hoped for the best. After today I can say I wasn't disappointed at all. These things are AWESOME!!! I really wanted to see how well they held up when I threw some weight at them. While doing lat pulldowns I had the full stack on there, 240lbs. These things held up perfectly. I didn't hear any threads giving away or anything like that. So no worries about them falling apart. These Grip Power pads are incredibly well made!!! Quality is there for sure. I really don't recommend too many things but these were better than I expected. Oh... another thing before I forget. When going heavy on lat pulldowns or seated rows/barbell rows I sometimes get a strain on my bicep tendon. With these it completely takes away all the stress from that bicep area and it allows me to concentrate on my back more. All around wins!

AWESOME GRIPS!
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. Love these grips! My forearms always have held me back from increasing weight for my deadlifts but now they don't! I debated buying these for a while but really glad I did. Made such a difference that I never knew it could in my training😁If you have pretty small wrist however I would make sure to see if these will fit you

Very durable gloves - lift more weight, doesn't rip calluses
2nd pair of these after my 1st was stolen. 1st pair was worn for 4 months, working out 4 days a week during this time.Pros:- strong leather- padded sides, eliminates the straps clenching your wrist- improves grip strength dramatically. I pulled 600 lb on deadlift with these but my raw grip strength can only do 405.- helps prevent calluses on pull ups or knees-to-bar, any sort of kipping movement- can be used under or over the bar. Under = no callus formation, better feel of bar, Over = improved grip strength due to the leather being wedged between your palm and the bar, creating a "glued to the bar" feelingCons:- Somewhat overly marketed on the cuff. Has logo, tagline, and website link- pad tends to want to squish into the metal ring (allows straps to be adjustable)- takes a decent while to break in. but this is actually good because that means it is durable

My New Go-To Lifting Grips!
I received my Grip Power Pads Pro (GPPP) and all I can say is that you would be hard pressed to find differences between these and the original Versa Grips (VGs) . I loved my VGs but after @3 years of faithful service... they had to be retired. I was going to purchase another pair before coming across the GPPP alternative. I read the reviews and felt confident they were accurate and represented the true quality of the product. Now that I have received mine I feel confident in saying that these should hold up to the same rigors that my VGs held up to. At this price point it is a no brainer...there are the grips to own! The complimentary carrying bag also sweetens the deal! Definitely a great gift for a lifting buddy at the going price! I only wish the label wasn't so busy and that they manufactured a red version.

After 3 months of use. Much better than other brands
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. I have experience with multiple straps. This is my 5th pair of straps. Ive purchased several other brands. What originally attracted me was the angled cut in the strap. I thought it looked interesting. As an engineer, I figured it could be a nice improvement. The straps are super comfortable around the wrist. Even when it looks like there isnt enough cushion... there is... trust me.The angle at which the strap is cut fit nicely once you curl up the strap around a bar. Its the perfect fit.The bulkiness at the end of the strap is perfect for locking the bar into place. The pullup bar at my gym is very slippery and with these straps I can hang on forever. You can definitely hold on for a long time. The ends are bulky and lock the strap into place which is perfect. If it wasnt for this end knob, then it probably would slip off the bar.I have thin wrists and fingers, but long. I got the Medium. Compared to my other unisize straps, they seemed at first to fit too small, but once I used them I could tell the ability to grip the bar was far superior.Slight rubber smell goes away after a week or two.Another detail I like is the metal buckle stays in place and doesn't touch your skin when you are going heavy (100+lbs per hand). Other straps tend to slide up. Since these straps are cut at an angle and fit angular to your wrist, they cant slide up anymore and stay in place.

Great Value! Half the price of the other brand.
These are just as good as Versa Grips but for half the price. I’ve been wearing versa grips for about 6 years now and I lost my latest pair (again) and was looking for a replacement. If been lifting for years and been doing it competitively as well. There’s no question that these types of straps will help you get the most out of your workouts ... especially on Back days! It’s a must have for your gym gear. The only feedback I have for these Grip Power Pads are the location of the buckle. It’s on the on the outside of the wrist (thumb side), which feels awkward when strapping them on. The other brand had it located on the inside of wrist ( pinky side) which felt more natural to strap on. Maybe it’s something to get use to since I’ve been using the other brand for years. Other that that. These are great, especially for the cost. Don’t need to pay for the higher price ones when these work exactly the same with the same quality of material. Best value hands down.

Sturdy but short
Well made and durable.Bought to replace a pair of Cobra Grips I bought a few years ago as the velcro is extremely worn out. All in all they are fit for purpose but still prefer the Cobras as I feel like the "rubber" grip is too short to wrap around the bar properly. It might be personal to me but if I could give the manufacturer an advice it would be to lengthen it by an inch.

Works fine
Works fine for me, if they had a slightly smaller size (I apparently have tiny wrists) I'd buy them in an instant.

Great gloves for lifting
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. I have been using these gloves everyday for the last 3 weeks and they are great workout gloves for lifting. They provide strong and firm grip while protecting your palm. They are made of quality materials and very well constructed. Good value, fast shipping and great customer service. I highly recommend this product.

Fantastic Straps
I've been using these for a number of months after finally breaking down for some straps. I couldn't decide between leather and rubber. I went rubber and glad that I did for both the grip and sweat resistance. These really help with reducing the load on your forearms during deadlifts, shrugs, lat pulldowns, or any other pull exercise which really helps you to focus on the muscle you're training. I strap these over my normal training gloves without issue. If you're doing heavy pulling exercises, these are a really great choice to focus the muscles you should be targeting. I was silly and thought "my grip strength will improve in line with my other muscle groups". It does not. You're robbing yourself of gains if you're relying on your forearms for multiple heavy pull exercises. Get some straps, with these being my recommendation.
