Space savers! Easy to operate.
These work really well. I have my kayaks hung over my 1930 Ford. That's how much confidence I have in the strength of these. The price was great, they save a lot of room in the garage. It is also very easy to raise The Kayaks and lower them back down.

good quality units
good quality units. they were fairly easy to install, though the instructions are lacking. The only thing I don't like is the length of the straps. Even with my canoe, which is fairly wide, they hang down way too far. I have hte hardware above the 12' rafters and, at 6'3", I can still barely walk under the canoe, and I hit my head if I don't duck under the kayak (also fairly wide for a kayak). Other than that, these work great. Eventually my wife will sew a loop in to shorten the straps and they will be perfect.

Works as designed, a bungee cord makes it better.
I used a stud finder and a laser level to align the pulleys on a 10' finished garage ceiling. I did NOT attach a 2" x 4" on the underside of the ceiling , I felt that I would end up painting the 2" x 4" white to match the ceiling and I really didn't want to take the time to prime and paint if it wasn't necessary (and it wasn't). A YouTube video (See "Dragon Kayak Hoist") was helpful, especially with information to attach the pulleys a distance of 1/3 the length of the kayak and showing how to feed the rope through the system. The wide straps were far too long for my kayak - I used the shorter, narrower tie-down straps that were provided. I found that adding a bungee cord between the two straps made it much easier to hoist and keep the kayak from trying to slip out of the straps.

Its an ok system for high ceilings.
Pros: Not that hard to install, seems to fit multiple size kayaks. Cons: Instructions are not clear, had to look up how to run the robe in the pulleys. Really need a 12-15 ceiling to get kayaks out of the way. bolts are b-grade one of the heads snapped because it overheated during install, suggest taking your time and let the bolt cool about halfway in and you should be fine.

Great storage solution for kayals
Sturdy, ready to assemble and works just like they say. The only thing that could be improved is the metal tie down brackets that you use to wrap the rope around. That is easy to fix at the hardware store

Save your money and frustration.
Awful awful awful.I never leave reviews on products but this was so bad I had to.First, the instructions are not very detailed which isn't horrible but will add a lot of time onto your install. Second, the boat straps are one size. In my case this caused my kayak to hang about an extra foot lower than necessary. Third, if you are expecting to install this in a garage with ceilings less than 12 ft and park a car under - unless you have a Mazda Miata, think again. Fourth, the hoist strap on the pulley system tore on the first use. Not completely through but enough that this rope will have a very limited lifespan. Lastly, the single rope to work two independent pullies is a bit tricky to get the hang of.

Simple Way to Store Kayak Off Season
Package arrived in good order earlier that originally promised. Instructions were adequate and once the I decided how to configure the installation within the garage, everything fell in place. Now that season is winding down, have placed the Kayaks in their respective rack, but if we get a respectable a Indian Summer, they will be easy to retrieve.

Did the job
Would have given a 5 star rating except for two issues. First the directions are awful, just a single picture with no descriptions. I found a You Tube video on installation and after that it was a piece of cake. Second I think they need to look at something different in the rope. Rope had a couple of frayed places straight out of package. I was worried it would break so I only lifted kayak a couple of feet off the ground for the first couple of weeks in case it did break it would only fall a short distance. I have lifted to the ceiling height now, but still concerned, may replace rope to give myself a peace of mind.
