Slick Trick

I have been bow hunting for over 40 years. NEVER seen a better flying broadhead. My wife shot her 1st buck with the Slick Trick last season but has killed 5 does over the last 4 seasons using the Viper! Unbelievable flight and deadly performance. The buck went 60 yards after a perfect double lung shot and her doe went 30 yards after a clean heart shot with complete pass through! The BEST performance I have ever had with NO shoulder blade penetration issues. You will never see that big buck run off again with an expandable that cant penetrate that shoulder! 5 PLUS stars! Thes broadheads work great. I did a whole off season worth of homework on broadheads and land on viper trick. Very happy with my decision. Fly true and like darts. Put them with carbon express piledriver and you get a hard hitting package. I've shot a bull at 7yds this year and it went clear through him with a frontal shot and broke 2 ribs on the way out. Left a blood trail 2 feet wide and only 100 yds long. Then shot a mulie buck 5 days later at 60 yrds he only went 45 yards and it blew through no problem. Both broadheads still shoot able just need replacement blades.

This is the fixed blade I’ve been looking for. Very quiet, sharp, and actually flys like my field points. That saying gets thrown around a lot these days with broad heads but these actually do. Very sharp, I’ve accidentally cut myself twice handling them. Every one I’ve spin tested has spun perfect. Killed a buck this year with one and it blew through him and he piled up in less than 100 yards.

Once put together they are solid and I have no concerns about their effectiveness in the field. They have a nice sharp edge out of package. My only real issue with these is the lack of instructions and difficult assembly. Actually, the assembly itself is obvious after looking at the pieces, my problem was that the blades did not smoothly fall into place. The slots for the blades were too tight and I had to use needle nose pliers to force them through certain points of the slot. Once in place there was a little wiggle room and it was easier to line up but getting the blade to that point was not easy and it leaves you constantly second guessing what you are doing. It takes enough force to feel like you are doing something wrong. But again, once assembled I have no further complaint or concern.

Great broadhead. Hits within an inch of my field points at 40 yards. As some mentioned, it does not come with assembly instructions, which is strange, but a quick internet search will show you easy to follow videos for your first one, then it is easy and intuitive to assemble.For those who say it doesn’t fly like your field tip: make sure your bow is perfectly tuned first (I personally recommend bare shaft tuning). If it isn’t flying true, throwing wings on the front of your arrow will only exacerbate the problem. If your Slick Tricks don’t impact very close to the same as your field points, the sheer number of great reviews here should make you at least consider that the issue may be with your bow tune and not with these broadheads

I’ve been using shuttle T and G5 Montec for the last 6 years for both elk and deer, love them both but will take these Vipertricks every time. They group better and have great penetration. I shoot a 30” draw at 70 lbs with a 450gr arrow at 285 FPS and these broadhead’s almost passed through my compressed foam broadhead block at 30 and 40 yards. I practice out to 100 yards and they grouped consistent at long range as well. Go to YouTube and check out the stress test, deflection test and moose shoulder at 30 yards penetration test. Can’t go wrong with this broadhead!

Never had a deer go over 20 with using this. Used them for crossbow and compound.

Super sharp. Blades are strong and secure when assembled. I have sighted them out to 60 yards and they are very accurate. I have used these in the field. Replacement blades are also available, which was why I switched to Slick Trick from Monteacs.

It is really poorly produced. The blades are 1mm too long so the washer can’t hold the blades. It makes them wobbly since there is a gab between the broadhead and the arrow shaft once screwed in.I was really excited to try them out but there is no way I am going to shoot a deer with these. It’s screaming for failure. 100% going to send them back.

Fly like darts but of the 8 I bought 4 will not tighten up and rattle. It was my first attempt away from G5 Montecs. Won’t be going with any more slick tricks in the near future.
