Sliding Bolt Gate Door Latch Lock, Slide Bolt Lock, 4 Inch Stainless Steel Security Barrel Latch Hasp with Padlock Hole

I bought one as a sample and installed without problems. I liked the product and ordered more. I took measurement of the first latch thinking that these measurements would work on the next one. Wrong! The measurements are about 1/2"off. The catch is 1/2" too far from the swinging latch. I need to drill more holes in the door 1/2" closer to the door sill to make it work or hopefully the company will send me a replacement that is the same dimensions as the first. I don't understand the rational of having parts that are different dimensions.

My grandma built me a little apartment in her attack for when I come to visit her a couple of months at a time. My aunt visits when I am there and I cannot stand the woman. I used this lock on the doors and it was impossible for her to get in! She was so confused at why the doors wouldn't open. Best lock ever.

This latch is very heavy and well made. However the mounting holes are partially underneath the sliding bolt, so the screw has to be angled a little for the head to clear the bolt. Once the screw head gets below the level of the bolt, it can be screwed in straight, but by then the direction of the hole has already been started at an angle.

I have been looking for this lock a long time as local hardware stores come either with bolt or chain design. I saw incorporation of both only on Amazon and bought it right away. The piece came with all needed screws, well machined ends and parts. Also, have a hefty weight to it. I use it for the extra piece of mind.

I bought this in December 2020 and it broke a month afterwards.

Used these on a custom built toddler bunk beds.We liked the latches had smooth corners and the tension screws to keep the girls from opening the drop gate.

I bought this for looks. It works as intended but takes some time to install correctly. Its easy enough to do but needs to be perfectly lined up in order to latch.

Excellent latch, love the corrosion proof stainless steel finish I recommend using larger mounting screws the furnished ones are adequate but did not fit my metal door application

Was a tad awkward to get it to fit where I intended it to be, but, I finally sorted it and the lock does its intended job.

Very poorly made. I don't expect a lot for a tenner but this has no quality control in the manufacturing process at all. Its marked and dinged up, and it isnt a right angle so it doesnt fit properly.

Easy to install and sturdy.

Perfect safe & secure lock, so good I purchased a 2nd one.

Took us a while to work out how it was going to work but we got there in the end.
