Pagan Portals - Loki

In the pagan/occult world it's difficult to find books that are of good quality and content. Dagulf Loptson's work on Loki is both inspiring and practical. Loki is a tough nut to crack--mainly due to the proliferation of the Marvel character in pop culture--but also due to his associations with "evil" and chaos. Someone who is a fire sign will probably recognize themselves in Loki and understand how it feels to be viewed as the bad guy when you only wanted to "liven things up a bit." Loptson does a nice job of giving us a quick history of Loki and his rituals/spells are simple and easily personalized. This work will stay on the top of my book shelf for some time.

I love this book, and I’m only 3 chapters in. It’s so informative and I spiring and I somehow feel peace while reading it.I am already planning on creating candles and amulets as described how in this book. This book may not be for everyone, but it can be for anyone.The only thing I dislike is that some of the ancient names and words are hard to pronounce, so I wish pronunciations had been included as footnotes. I simply wish this so I don’t mispronounce anything!All in all, however, amazing book.

For those who are interested in a real, experiential view of Loki, rather than the Christianity-biased "he's a bad guy" rote espoused by much of Norse heathenry who have never bothered to learn about him for themselves.

This was a great academic read as well as a spiritual one. I like that the author gave us different versions of myths and then also his own interpretation as a Lokean.

I have nothing but good to say about this book. Dagulf is a wonderful, well studied author, and the book arrived within days, in flawless condition

I seriously didn’t want it to end. I loved this book and am waiting for the next with bated breath ❤️💯

Was very informative, I would recommend it to anyone looking for information about Loki and what it means to be a Lokean.

I love this book. Some of the material is too specific in my opinion. I am using this book as a guide for my own journey as well as a research starter.

Amazing book for beginners however the author acts as if it is the only way to include/bring loki into your rituals and life.This is false.The author insists on using blood magick which is not necessary. he also insists on being incredibly respectful which while necessary when your partnership with the deity starts is not necessary in the long term.So again, good book but always use your own discretion when figuring out if that certain ritual/practice is meant for you and the relationship you hold with your deity.

Le livre est très beau, assez petit mais vraiment plein de très bon contenu. Tout est clair et bien expliqué, accessible pour tout le monde, même les non connaisseu.r/euse.s. Le livre reprends la structure des différents noms de Loki pour expliquer tout ses aspects, il inclut aussi des "recettes" pour travailler avec Loki.Vraiment un bon livre, que je relirai avec plaisir.
